When trails, parks and forests have been closed due to wildfires…and it’s been raining cats and dogs….you find your own fun 🙃
Also, this is why we can’t have nice things 🤣
Ever wonder what it’s like waking up to TWO German Pinscher puppies…..
🤣😳🤣
On todays episode of “So you think you want a German Pinscher?”….
Spring has sprung here, the snow has melted, the mud is plentiful and the new smells are abundant! For a dog that has great prey drive, this is like a world of adventure as plants start to appear and critters become more active… and what better way to find them, than by digging massive holes 🤣🤣
They are definitely a bit shack wacky from the winter and are ready for this warmer weather!
Sweet Tucker (formerly Anchor⚓️) is feeling a bit sorry for himself after his neuter, but look how cute he is in his recovery suit 🥰
His family has done a great job raising him and teaching him some tricks!
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of posts and getting a lot of questions from people about how dramatic their dogs are for nail trims.
I’m a little bit like the toenail police over here, and like to keep nice short nails to maintain proper foot alignment and nice tight toes.
My dogs are used to nails, it’s a non issue, some even try to bump ahead of the others in line to get up on the grooming table.
I don’t use restraint or strange devices, just simple conditioning and positive reinforcement just for being in the presence of the nail clippers and dremel.
They weren’t naturally born loving this, I didn’t just luck out with tolerant dogs, it’s all conditioning. That takes time and work.
The two puppies started nail trims at just 3 days old and had them done every 3 days after. That early start made a huge impact on them, however it doesn’t stop there. They still required work on this regularly as they grew up!
Enjoy 20 paws of freshly trimmed nails in under 2 mins 💅🏻
Miss Sayls ⛵️ has been working on her fitness!
Today was the first day I’ve increased her speed past a walk and she was super confident and happy.
Now to find that perfect speed/stride for her!
