An older video from 2017. Remember when people made videos rattling off all their dogs' favourite words in a sentence? Muffin knew certain words well!

Pasta and bread are one of the cheapest meals you could make at home, but we were frequent diners every Pasta Tuesday at Boston Pizza. Sometimes we just wanted to eat pasta in peace!

Muffin hated going to bed, yet other times he got mad at us for staying up late while not putting him to bed :-D It was a constant struggle!

You can hear him jangle his "angry toy". He stored feelings in two toys--the rope bell toy he bashed when he was angry, and the simple bell mirror he bopped when he was happy :-D

Muffin was not a cuddler--but I sure wish he was like Dominic :-)

There are strangers on my deck replacing the gutters and I am NOT happy about it

Muffin was such a big part of our lives that everything reminds me of him!

I'll never forget how he used to sit on the fridge and guard the bread machine for the whole cycle, blissfully surrounded by aroma of bread baking!

Cage cleaning day!

Every bird is different and I've never had a budgie liked Star who showers his favourite mirror with loads of little kisses :P

He is very concerned I removed the mirror, but promised to have it back to him soon :D

I neglected to make a post about the third anniversary of Muffin's passing last week.

It doesn't feel like 3 years--we talk about him everyday as if he is still here. Every time we're having a crazy day or something really chaotic happens, we stop and say "Muffin's at it again!" or "Muffin would have loved that".

He was always the bestest friend, worst roommate and definitely part of our family :-)

LMAO! I miss the sheer ridiculousness of cockatiels. They are very serious about their silliness though!

I can imagine Muffin wanting to sit on top of the conure too!

Some days everything remind me of Muffin! He would have fought me for my crusty bun and then enjoyed running all over the plate.

A tale of two tail feathers!

As Will ages I've noticed his feathers look more blue. You can also see the down is grey, compared to Star's nice white fluff.

April 2025 marks Will's 8th year with me, so he's easily in the 9-10 range. Even little birds can live a long time, so be prepared to be committed to budgies for many years.
