A new add to my class specimens! Adult fleas!!! Ewwww, but with having animals in our lives comes parasites!! Fleas can live happy little lives in your home all winter if the temperature accommodates!! Parasites and prevention is just one topic of many covered with courses! Last course of the year with Sunday Sept 17th!

Spreading the word of some Summer safety!! It’s important to be aware of the temperatures and your pets! Heat and Cold is just one of the over 20 topics covered in the Walks 'N' Wags Pet First Aid course.

Happy Furiday! We saw furiends of a different sort this morning on the front grass... thank dogness mama wasn't making her way across when we were on morning potty 😮🫢🙈
Now that I have your attention, my warm weather fur furiends PSA:
•Don't do strenuous exercise/play in heat... even if in/by water- water reflects n heats you up faster
• Be mindful of both air n ground temperature- use the hand test to see if the sidewalks are walkable... if you can't hold your hand on it, it's too hot
• Dry grass isn't too much cooler, only green grass (ie: has moisture in it) is cooling
• Wait till your fur pal has stopped panting before providing water, n then, in small quantities, n not ice cold
• Heat stroke n heat exhaustion happens very quickly n can be fatal... if you don't know the signs or what to do, pet first aid is for you...
Ms Liz of Life Tracks Pet First Aid & CPR Training is willing to hold one more session of first aid at the end of this month if there enough participants. Otherwise, classes will resume in September... so please message me if you would like a class this month 💞🐾
