The stands were full and the market was strong today at our annual Pen of 3, what a way to end the year!
Thank you to our consignors, we saw some great looking cattle go through the ring today! Thank you to our buyers new and old for coming out and purchasing in person & online. Moose Creek Red Angus sponsored our top selling Pen of 3 which was a set of 3 from lot 1. Thank you as well to Jerome Kress for purchasing the blue jean blanket that Don & Wendy donated and donating it back and Darren Kress for buying it the second time to raise a total of $4700. Don has always had a soft spot for STARS, so this makes his day when that kind of money goes to them!

Pen of 3 Heifers- These 3 pens are purebred Hereford heifers bred to Merlin 28K, a 68lb birthweight Hereford bull that was put out May 5 and pulled on August 24th. In his first calf crop the bw’s ranged from 72-78lbs with a low of 62 and a high of 85lbs. 8 of the heifers are registered. Papers can be transferred at owners request.
Sale is Dec.13 @ 11am, will be on DLMS for online bidding.

Pen of 3 Bred Heifer and Cow Sale Dec.13 @ 11am. We have some top quality heifers coming in for this sale along with some really nice groups of young cows and cow/calf pairs. There is two small dispersal sales coming in, they kept their top cattle back after their reduction sales and now they are coming to town on the 13th.
Sale will be on DLMS for online bidding, make sure to get registered ahead of time.

This group is bred to a char bull and are set to calve mid to end of April. They are 4-8yrs old with one older cow and one bred heifer. These are the last of the cows to sell as owners have moved to town. Sale is Dec.13 at 11am, it will be on DLMS for online bidding.

The market stayed strong for our last feeder sale of the year, awesome to see this late in the fall run! Thank you to all of the producers that sold through us this year, we appreciate your support and hope that we can help you to market your animals again in 2025!

Pen of 3- These heifers have been catching everyone’s eye all summer when they drove by the pasture and now here is your chance to own one…or 20 😉 They are bred to a 77lbs birthweight blk angus bull that has been used on heifers the last 5 years. He joined the ladies on July 4th.

Pen of 3- check out these Simm X heifers! They are bred to an easy calving red angus bull that was turned out July 19th. They are set to start calving the end of April. If the Kress family is bringing heifers to town, you can guarantee they will be ones to watch for!

Along with our Annual Pen of 3 Heifer Sale, we have this group of young cows and heifers coming in. This group is the last bunch they kept back from their reduction sale with us and it is now time for them to come to town too (the owner says the beach is looking to nice😉). They are bred to a blk angus bull and bred for April 1st calving. They are 3yrs and down and have a full herd health program. Sale is Dec.13 @ 11am and will be on DLMS.

We have our last feeder sale of the year this Friday @ 10am, accepting Thursday 10am to 8pm.
-Dec.13 we will hold our Annual Pen of 3 Bred Heifer and Cow sale. We have a little bit of room left in this sale, so get booked in soon. (If you have booked in already, please make sure to get write up and /or pictures into me asap).

🔹We had a smaller sale then planned today, but the market was strong. Good framed breds sold $3800-4100, smaller dispersal of char cows avg $3693, overall sale avg was $3300.

🔸Coming up for our annual Pen of 3 sale on Dec.13, we have 6 pens of 3 bred heifers bred to a easy calving Autumn Dew blk angus bull, a pen of Simm X heifers bred red angus, a group of good heifers & young cows bred blk angus, a nice pen of 3 black brockel face angus/hereford cross heifers bred blk angus and more booked in the sale! Stay tuned for pictures and more information to come. This sale will be on DLMS for online bidding.

The overall market was up once again at Friday’s sale! We usually start to see prices slip this time of the year, but the market is continuing to stay strong which is great to see for our producers. If you want to save on commission and put more $ back into your pockets, give Don a call to get booked in!

We have our bred sale happening this Wednesday @ 11am and have some good bred cows and heifers coming into it, so if you are in the market, make sure you plan to attend the sale.
