It’s one of our missions to break down those walls and show them that we aren’t all bad.

Trap-Neuter-Return is always on the go within our colonies! Two more feral kitties were fixed, vaccinated and tattooed this week, helping lower the number of kittens being born on the streets of Cardston.

Thank you to our caretakers and volunteers who are helping on a daily basis! We couldn’t do it without you!

This needs to be said and ingrained into people’s brains!

I feel like the general public has no idea what the animal crisis currently is. So here's an update:

- The animal shelters are full
- The rescues are full
- No kill shelters are full
- Owner surrenders requests are daily
- Dogs/cats being dumped daily
- Adoptions are at an all time low
- Intake is at an all time high
- Euthanasia for space is at an all time high

Breeders are surrendering ENTIRE LITTERS, parents included. They arent selling. Puppies, pregnant moms, and good young pets are being euthanized daily. There is no space. The chances that there is a "really nice" home just waiting for your dog or cat are slim.
Spay/neuter your pet.
Train your dog.
They are fine being home while you work. They sleep most of the day anyway.
Stop saying you can't give that pet what they deserve, There isn't magically someone who has more time or can take better care.
Stop trying to rehome them or surrendering them to the shelter because you don't have time.
Stop all the excuses, you adopted/bought that pet, thats your life-long responsibility, not just "while its convenient"

If you need help, there are organizations that can help with food and possibly medical. And/or direct you to an organization that can.

Please keep your pet...

We got a call from police regarding a new mom and five pups living under someone’s house.

With our connections, we were able to secure an amazing, urgent and temporary foster home in Cardston! This little family made it to a local animal rescue today (thanks to her foster) and we are so thankful for the helping hands of animal lovers and rescues who work together to save animals who need help.

This little momma is SO sweet and is an incredible mom to her five pups!

Pound Rescue has been helping over 400 feral cats in Magrath for years. With the help of volunteers and caretakers, these cats are fully vetted, tattooed and cared for with shelter and food. They thrive with the help of compassion humans!

We spay, neuter and feed over 60 cats (not all feral) in the area in numerous colonies and hope to help more cats that find themselves on the street!

Hello!

We are a group of animal lovers involved in animal welfare in the Cardston area. With funding from the Town of Cardston and veterinary care from Foothills Veterinary Clinic, our volunteers are active in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), helping control the local street cat population and returning cats to their colonies.

We accept donations of new and used pet food to help area pet owners and caretakers needing help. Donations of new and used pet supplies (such as kennels, dishes, toys) are greatly accepted for fundraising with proceeds going towards future veterinary care and food for all area strays.

We hope to build a stronger community with ongoing community support for animals who need a paw! We hope you can be a part of our mission!
