It’s that time of year again. These two are the last of the herd to come back in from the woodland to their winter living area. As the seniors of the herd these guys know the routine now.
Our purebred Berkshire gilt gave us a smaller but healthy litter of 8. They are 12 days old today and mom is doing a great job with them and no losses. To date on our farm this littler has the most English Berkshire bloodline in them and it’s starting to show. A few traditional looking berkshires piglets in this litter. I’m pretty pleased and can’t wait to watch them grow up
Strolling through the pasture with the Wolf pack 😂😂😂
Cobblestone Edith’s purebred Berkshire piglets out playing a little follow the leader. It’s always a slow one in the group. 🤣
Nothing like a cool mud bath on a hot day to recharge your batteries! 🐷😂

The pigs were all snuggled up out of the cold rain today. They usually are waiting for me at feeding time but today they all overslept. Lol

Here’s a little video of Rocky Creek Kate(Bella), one of our registered Berkshire sows and her beautiful piglets. I’m amazed at how healthy and big her piglets are at 38 days old. She is one great mother putting everything she has into her piglets.
Rocky Creek Kate is doing the finishing touches to her nest. We’ll soon have piglets!!
