I was actually walking down the hallway today at Chilliwack hospital with the help of two activator poles and my physiotherapist at times with my foot placement. The tone is still very strong in my leg and foot so it’s difficult at times to place it properly but he woukd eventually let me work through it and by a small miracle lol I was actually walking on my own with the help of those poles.
I’ve literally had to learn how to walk again by breaking it down to the very first movement of a step. It’s like training with a dog it was time to up the ante and get into the hallway around people and lots of stimulus lol. It actually gave me some hope today.

Recovery from my stroke has been slow but steady. I started using a quad cane and activator poles at physiotherapy. I’m still in a wheelchair day to day, but I’m very positive and hopeful I will walk again. Lots of love to everyone on this beautiful day. Give the dogs some treats and love from me. ❤️🐾

I hope everyone has been having a safe and happy summer. Quick update on my stroke recovery. I’m literally learning how to walk again. Such a strange feeling lol.
My leg and foot have been slower to recover but I’m getting there. I have been working hard at physio and the pool. Slow and steady frustrating at times process but I’m getting there. Pain has finally subsided a little bit. I have an appointment on Tuesday for a second round of Botox injections to try and loosen up some muscles in my leg, foot, arm.
Still in the wheelchair but my main goals are to ditch the wheelchair, get walking, and start spending time with dogs again. I miss it more than anything. Lots of love to everyone and I’ll be seeing you all soon. I’m determined to get there. ❤️🐾
