Everything you need to know about what we do here at Fur & Fluff Rescue, and how to navigate this site, all information below!
We are a completely volunteer/foster based rescue, meaning if we don’t have available foster parents, we can’t take in the animal. So new and more fosters are ALWAYS needed and appreciated, if you are looking to become a foster for the pets that come into care, you can message us now to start the process, or book a meeting for it in the ‘Services’ section. If your looking to volunteer, and help us, please message us now and we can go from there!
Donations are also ALWAYS needed and appreciated as we do need to house, feed, and take care of the animals we have in the program. All profits from the adoption fee goes right back into what we do for these pets. Bedding, food, toys, basic supplies, all donations are loved. If you are looking to donate, message now, or book a slot to drop by in the ‘Services’ section.
Surrendering a pet is not like exchanging a pair shoes. We don't easily accept surrenders without a meet, up to date medical and home life information. If your looking to Rehome/Surrender your animal, please message us now or book a Pet Surrender Consultation in the ‘Services’ section.
It is not an overnight process to surrender a pet. Our average time to consult, process and officially house your pet from start to finish is an average of 4-8 days (including weekend days). We do not take in any AGGRESSIVE pets. Period. We are foster based and have families to think about. All incoming pets MUST be other pet friendly. All current fosters have dogs and children.
We will not board an animal to bring it back into our foster-to-adoption program. If that is your choice, if you need someone to simply watch your animal while you go away, you may supply the fees to board the pet. Animal boarding (pet sitting) is a completely different subject, and if that’s what you’ve come here to get, please message us now, we don’t have a specific ‘Services’ button for that yet but we’re slowly working on that as it’s not something we’ve officially started offering to the public yet.
We will point you into the proper direction, if you reconsider keeping your pet, up until the surrender process is complete and we’ve now started to house the animal. At that point then you would need to apply to adopt the pet, regardless, just like everyone else would you would go through the same process as everyone else looking to adopt one of our pets in care. For pet surrender we do require an enclosure for your pet (cage, terrarium ect ect) at time of surrendering as we do not have the income/budget to be purchasing them every day for the new pets coming into our care and our fosters will not accept the animal into their home without a proper living environment/habitat.
