Willow Haven Farm Our family farm has always included horses. It started in the late 70’s with foundation Quarter Horses.

In the last 15 years we branched out to other breeds, ultimately ending up specializing in the breeding/showing/training of Gypsy Cobs.

We had to say goodbye to the last quarter horse mare I bred today. Willow had a pedigree stacked with some of the greatest foundation horses of the breed, but it was her heart that made her so special.
Unfortunately Willow had a bad knee injury at 3 that took her out of the arena and show pen but it only changed her path. She impacted many peoples lives over the years, helping them remember why they loved horses and made one beautiful baby. The funniest thing was that no matter what pasture she called home somehow always ended up back in mine. lol
I am a big believer in letting them pass on a good day whenever we can and I know she is running free tonight!

Ok I need to ask the masses!

I see the new trend when horse shopping is to make a very broad scope post - “ I’m looking for a mare… or stallion .. with a head, tail and has colour! Under 18 years old”
How do all the breeders feel about this?
Is this the direction sales are going now?

I know when I have horses for sale, I am looking for a bit more from someone.

Tell me what you are looking for exactly: Temperment, confirmation and what you want to do with the horse. (Minimum)

I am very proud and love all the horses I sell. I just can’t bring myself to reply to these posts.
Am I reading too much into it?

We are very excited to introduce you all to our last baby of the year.
Phantom really tricked me this year. She wasn’t due until til July 1st, on the summer solstice and the full moon of June she decided it was time!!
I can’t believe I missed it!! lol

We do not have a name for this beautiful big Bay Tobiano c**t but to say we are pleased is an understatement.

Ranier is such a great example of why we as breeders geld some exceptional c**ts!
They are our breed ambassadors!

This weekend Ranier was shown in hand, English and Western (Junior & Open) as well as in driving.
Unfortunately I was not able to show him but… we are so grateful to find a junior rider who took the reins and did a beautiful job. Thank you Ava !!! I look forward to having you ride for us again.

You rarely see is a yearling placing over mature horses in a show.
Augus challenged the boundaries and accomplished so much at such a young age.
To say we are proud is an understatement.

We had plans to take beautiful outside photos and make the horse show result announcement. That didn’t quite work out with a new baby born early and now rain rain and more rain.

I am so very very proud of these horses and grateful to the amazing team that worked together this weekend.

Thank you to our amazing trainer Katelyn Carter. I have a hard time giving her a title when she does so so much more.

I will break them out individually next!
