Today was a big one for me. After over seven years of grooming in Colborne, seven years of building this business, this team, this community, I gave my very first bath in our Brighton studio… and of course it had to be with my main man, Oliver.

I was so sad about leaving the shop was where I grew up as a groomer. It’s where Northumberland Grooming Co. was born and where I met so many of the dogs and people who shaped this whole journey.

But standing here in Brighton, with all the room to move, the bright light, the new equipment, the space to breathe and create… it feels like the next chapter. A bigger chapter. A better-fitted chapter. And having Oliver be the first doggo in the tub made my heart a little mushy.

Here’s to new beginnings, more space, more comfort, and the same love and quality that started back in Colborne.
Brighton… we’re just getting started. 🫶

It’s hard to believe we’re only two days away from our Colborne girls officially merging with our Brighton team. This shift is exciting, but it’s also incredibly sentimental for us.

Colborne was our very first studio, the little shop where we opened our doors over two years ago with a whole lot of hope and not much else. It’s the place where we did the most growing, where we found our rhythm, built our team, learned who we were as groomers, and became the Northumberland Grooming Co. that so many of you know, love, and trust today.

It was the foundation for everything: our skills, our standards, our reputation, our community impact… all of it started in that tiny Colborne studio.

So yes, this move is emotional. It’s the end of a huge chapter. But it’s also the start of an even bigger one.

We are so excited to bring our Colborne girls into our Brighton studio where we have:
• A much larger grooming space
• Lots of easy parking
• An accessible unit for every client
• Better workflow
• A fresh, bright environment
• And room to grow even more

Brighton is already such a happy home for us, and bringing the Colborne team under the same roof is going to make it even stronger.

Thank you, Colborne, for being our beginning.
