To Our Valued Clients and Northumberland Community,

We want to take a moment to clarify some confusion that has recently come to our attention.

Northumberland Grooming Co. is not opening a location in Cobourg. Our grooming studios remain proudly located in Colborne and Port Hope, and we have no current plans to expand beyond those two locations.

Unfortunately, a former team member is opening a grooming shop and has misrepresented their business as a new NGC location. We are also aware that client contact information was taken without our permission. This is being addressed seriously, and we want to assure you that your trust means everything to us.

If you have received unexpected communication or were told that we’ve moved or opened elsewhere, please know that we are still exactly where you’ve always found us, with the same passionate and experienced team who knows and loves your dogs.

We’re so excited to welcome Sarah to the Northumberland Grooming Co team!

Sarah has been grooming since 2016 and has been part of the Northumberland pet community from the very beginning. She is well known and loved in the area for her gentle approach and her skills. Sarah specializes in cat grooming and pets who need a little extra time or care. What Sarah loves most about grooming is building real relationships with the animals she grooms and getting to be part of such an important part of their lives. She loves watching them grow more confident with each visit and seeing how happy they are to come see her.

Sarah is welcoming her existing clients to Northumberland Grooming Co. and has room to take on a few new ones as well. We are so happy to have her with us at our Port Hope studio!

We take our time with each pet, allowing them to adjust at their own pace and using positive reinforcement to build trust. Soft music, aromatherapy, and a quiet, uncluttered workspace also help reduce anxiety. We tailor each grooming experience to the individual needs and comfort level of the dog. We believe in letting the dog lead the pace, taking breaks when needed, easing through sensitive areas, and never rushing the process—so they leave not only looking great, but feeling safe and understood 🫶
