The e-laws have finally been updated and groomers can indeed stay open during this shutdown and stay at home order. Yayy!

All appointments will stay as scheduled and I will be doing intake in the driveway as usual. If you are uncomfortable leaving your home during this time do not hesitate to reschedule your appointment. If you are feeling unwell at all please stay at home and reschedule your appointment. I just ask that you try your best to give me 24hrs notice so I can fill the appointment slot.

I look forward to seeing all my fuzzy friends very soon

Good morning,

As you may know with the announcement yesterday we went into a stay at home order.

They have failed to update the e-laws which is what will legally tell me if I can remain open or have to close. I know there are lots of news articles and social media posts floating around listing what can stay open and what can not but unfortunately we can not just go by the media.

My plan is to stay open as usual until they update the e-laws and I know if I am to close or if I am permitted to stay open. As soon as I hear more I will send out an update.

Hi all!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that it looks as though groomers are going to be allowed to be open during this most recent closure. Yay! I don’t know what the difference between this closure and the last is but I’m going to roll with it and be glad I can still remain open. All appointments will stay as they are and I will continue booking clients in. The only thing I ask is if you are ill you reschedule or if you are personally uncomfortable coming out during this time you please know I completely support that and understand if you choose to reschedule. I do however ask that you try your best to give at least 24hrs notice when cancelling so I have time to rebook another client in.

Hello everyone,

Surprise surprise life once again gets confusing and chaotic. As of Monday we go into Grey Zone Lockdown. Luckily on a positive note this is different than the Province Wide Shutdown we just came out of and the laws for this zone allow groomers to operate. This means that for now all of my appointments that are booked and are in the process of being booking will stay as they are. If anything changes I will be in contact with everyone individually to make other arrangements.

I hope everyone takes a deep breath, snuggles their doggo and stays happy and healthy.

As of yesterday groomers have been allowed to open up. It was a good first day and I will be in contact with everybody as their name comes up on my list. It is quite a long list so I thank you in advance for your patients and understanding as it is going to take some time to get everyone rebooked.

I look forward to seeing the rest of my furry clients soon.

Good afternoon,

Today we had an announcement that an amendment was made in regards to groomers opening back up. Unfortunately that announcement has NOT been 100% interpreted properly. I have attached the amendment and want to say I have been in contact with Bi-Law, and the health unit and they have said NO this amendment does not mean you can open up and proceed with business as usual. They have said it means if you have a pet that is in such poor condition that if left much longer would need to be brought to a vet for treatment you can safely complete that groom without fear of a fine or charge. However if reported they will have to investigate and a veterinarian may be consulted to verify it was considered an emergent case. If the pet’s health is not in imminent danger groomers are not permitted to groom them.

I know this is confusing for many people but I believe they made this amendment because groomers were reaching out saying we should be considered essential due to cases where dogs get so matted they have sores, or dogs who have nails that cutting into their pads. This is true, in severe cases like that it is important that groomers can do their job. Now the government has acknowledged that this was an unfortunate problem with just shutting us down cold turkey. In making this amendment they have rectified that problem and have made it so we can IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY groom a pet that is in such poor condition.

With all this information I am not comfortable opening my doors and I appreciate your respect for my decision to do my part and follow the laws that are in place. If you truly feel your pet is suffering and the next step if not groomed would be to see a vet then please feel free to contact me and I will evaluate your pets situation and determine if I need to see your pet or if it can wait a little bit longer until I can officially open up.

I hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas, I would like to update everyone about what is happening with this province wide shut down. Unfortunately groomers have yet again been mandated to close. I know this is an inconvenience for many of you but I have no choice.

With that being said I will be calling all the clients who have an appointment booked for January to cancel and just like after the last closure when I am permitted to open back I will be calling customers back in the order they were previously booked. For people looking for new appointments I will be adding you to a secondary list and once I have rescheduled all the appointments that were cancelled I will move to this secondary list and begin booking new appointments.

Again I am sorry for the inconvenience and I look forward to seeing everyone as soon as we can open back up.

Hello to all of my valued customers!
Today it was announced that groomers are permitted to open up as of Tuesday May 19th. This is great news!

I am going to be blunt and ask that to help things run smoothly if you have already contacted me about your dog getting in and I have said you are on my list please do not call or message again as this is going to be a very long few days of phone calls and messages and receiving extra calls or messages is not going to be helpful and will just make things move slower.

I also would like everyone to know how rebooking will work. I have 2 lists. The first one is all the clients who were previously booked in for grooming appointments and had to be cancelled due to covid-19. The second list is anyone who inquired about setting up new appointments for their pets. I will be making my way through the first list and contacting those clients first to offer appointments and once I have finished I will then move onto the second list. With that being said please know that this means there WILL be a wait time. I can not get everyone in at one time and please just know I am doing my best to get everyone groomed as soon as humanly possible!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all staying healthy and safe! I know everyone is anxiously awaiting for the province to open up and for the green light for the shop to open so you can get your pups in. Good evening everyone,
Today the government has said that all unnecessary businesses need to be closed down by tomorrow at 11:59pm. I will be following that request and will reopen when It is deemed safe to. I will be contacting all my clients who have appointments booked to formally cancel and let you all know how I will be dealing with booking my furry clients back in once this is over.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support throughout the years. I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you on the other side of this storm. Please stay healthy and safe!

Good evening everyone! Unfortunately I will be closing my doors until at least Monday. I have comedown with strep throat and will stay closed until the antibiotics have kicked in and I am healthy again. I do not want to spread it around and am going to do my part to keep everyone healthy. I will update on Sunday to see what next week will bring. Thank you for understanding 🐾
