On November 8, we honour Indigenous Veterans Day and remember the thousands of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who served with courage during the First World War, Second World War, and the Korean War.

More than 12,000 Indigenous veterans served with distinction in every area of service, and Indigenous Peoples continue to serve at home and overseas today. As we reflect on their contributions, we also acknowledge the challenges many faced when they returned — including denial of benefits, support, land, and rights.

We honour their bravery, their sacrifices, and their lasting legacy.

🐾 Meet Sid — Your most loyal companion!
Sid is a handsome 2 year old, intelligent German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s the perfect mix of loyalty and affection, and high energy — he's always ready for an adventure but happiest when spending time with people. Like most Shepherds, he thrives on structure and would do best in a home where he can stay active and engaged. With the right guidance, he’ll be your devoted protector and best friend for life🥰 Come meet him at our SDG center today!
