Oct 1st marks the start of our 40th year in business.

My father Dale Walker started Walker’s livestock Feed & supplies in an old poultry barn located roughly where the rubber ducky car Wash sits off Portland street today. Building our current location in the evenings and weekends until he was ready to open in 1986. Why a red barn? Dale did not want a “commercial building” being from the area he wanted to pay tribute to the rich farming heritage of Cole Harbour once called “The food basket for Halifax” hence the big red barn was born.

We could not feel more blessed for having the opportunity to service so many communities in Nova Scotia and across the maritimes these past 4 decades.

As much as it hurts my heart to post this, we simply can't intake any more buns until we are able to find foster or forever homes for the ones we have. We currently have 32 buns in our care and we're feeling overwhelmed 💔
