It’s really annoying because I sometimes don’t see messages for days… and working six days a week I forget for a few days to check this mailbox. I try to everyday but sometimes I don’t. Sometimes you foster a bunny that chews the wall, and then rescue a hamster that chews out of a huge bin cage and decides to live in the wall. Vanilla is back in her bin cage and waiting on a new bigger bin tomorrow.

Vanilla is an absolutely lovely hamster with an attention seeking personality rarely seen in hamsters. She was spoken for but was ghosted by potential adopter??🤔🤔she has a 665 square inch bin cage with custom wire too and 12 inch wheel, her adoption fee is 50$ for everything including all her bedding. She is a sweet girl.***update adopted

This Mama needs to be seperated in 1.5 weeks. Can anyone foster? She will have her own tank, six inches of bedding, six inch wheel needs to be separated as she has has two litters back to back, she is super friendly and just wants away from the kids

Yet another bin cage complete, with fresh bedding, some hay and shredded bamboo for diversity, (and borrow structure) a six and a half inch silent spinner,( which is only ok for dwarves) and as a platform a wooden bridge for food and water dishes.50$ adoption fee for the bin cage and all contents and bedding. Super proud of reusing old hamster cage parts and these bins came out great!

Thank you so much to Alesha Dennis and Meredith Wain for donating for new bedding and adopting Chocolate! Their funds sent to the rescue were used to buy two new bin cages and bedding today and complete them. Chocolate’s sister, Vanilla is now available for adoption.

Total chaos over here at the rescue. Two Syrians are available for adoption, and then today mama Minnie Mouse arrived with six unexpected babies after purchase from the pet store. These babies and mom made it all the way from Liverpool Nova Scotia to Weste Porters lake from some really great volunteers driving! And thank you so much Cole Harbour Pet Valu, for donating a bag of bedding. I almost cried, truly thanks.
