We don’t usually keep lower jaws on euros but this old bull had lots of character from a long life that was worth showcasing. Worn down molars, cracked incisor teeth, smallest bugle teeth we’ve seen (last photo is a comparison to common bugle teeth size) and a fractured zygomatic arch bone that was attempting to heal up. No doubt an old warrior and respectable harvest by a young local hunter!

What a challenge these Walrus skulls can be but the end product is one of a kind. Notice the large oosik (or baculum) that make for quite the conversation piece as well! #walrus #europeanmount #dermestidbeetles #taxidermy #oosik

Some skulls are relatively easy, others not so much! These fell into the latter category but not only because of the antler configurations. Both had some stubborn grease to remove as well.
