It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that we will no longer be providing dog sitting or doggy daycare. I can’t thank you all enough for supporting me over the past 5 months. I put every ounce of time and energy I had into this and it grew at a rate that a stay at home Mom of two toddlers who is married to a fisherman can possibly handle. When your physical and mental health takes a back seat it is a recipe for disaster and total burnout, which I learned the hard way last week. As much as I would love to be the Mom who can “do it all”, right now I am making the decision that is best for myself and my family. It was a true pleasure getting to know you all and your beloved fur babies 💕 All that being said, I know an amazing woman who will be opening an amazing facility in Roseway called Rover Cove that will offer boarding and daycare among other things 😊🐾 Be sure to check out her page!

* All Blue’s Boxes orders will still be done for Christmas, but I will not be accepting any more orders. I’m thinking pick-up day will be the 23rd, but I will be in contact with you all closer to Christmas 🎄

Glad I will have lots of pooches here tomorrow to keep my mind elsewhere. Stay safe out there everybody! Because everybody means something to somebody 🖤

Wear your PFD for your daughter, who can’t wait to show you her latest soccer move. For your best friend, who also happens to be the person you married. For your rec hockey team, who can always count on your famous backhand. Wear it for the ones who wouldn’t know what to do without you. Workplace injuries hurt the most at home.

- HOLIDAY CLOSURES -

As of right now I am planning to be closed for the holidays from December 21st-December 28th! With daycare starting back up on Monday, December 30th ☺️ I will be open for full hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! If anyone is planning to go out and celebrate the New Year I will be available for overnight stays on the 31st as well 🐾 (holiday charges will apply) Please book as soon as possible as I will have limited spots and they will fill up fast! ❄️

This is simply a play space. They spend their nights snuggled in bed with me 🙊

* POLICY CHANGE *

Past, present, and future clients please be advised that with the expansion of the facility since opening and the addition of dogs who attend other daycares, groomers, boarding facilities, etc. we are now asking that all dogs be vaccinated for Bordetella annually. That being said — your dog can still contract canine cough vaccinated or not as it can be caused by both bacteria or virus, with many different strains. So we please ask that if your dog exhibits any symptoms (coughing, hacking, etc.) to let myself, and any other facilities your dog has attended know immediately. Like humans and the common cold, canine cough usually resolves itself within 3-5 days without a vet visit, but please use your own discretion, no one knows your dog better than you 😊 It is still highly contagious and dogs can be contagious for many days after their symptoms subside so please keep track of when symptoms start and stop! The health and safety of all of our clients is priority number one. Proof of Bordetella vaccination will be required for any dog to attend both daycare and/or overnight stays. I hope you can all understand the policy change and have no problem with vaccinating your fur babies 💙 Thank you all for your continued support! 🐾

Back in June when we tragically lost Daisy, Schooner & Blue I set up a fundraiser for ElderDog Canada and $1630 was donated from people all across the globe. I can’t even describe how that helped me get through, and still helping me on my darkest days. So in the spirit of Christmas, giving back, and my love of dog videos I am introducing the “Miller’s Slo-Mo Dog Treat Challenge”. Simply take a slo-mo video of your dog catching a treat (or in Miller’s case — watching it hit your big nose 🤣) and post your video and share it to the “Miller’s Slo-Mo Dog Treat Challenge” group, donate any amount big or small to a charity/charities of your choice (doesn’t necessarily have to be a dog related charity), and nominate 3 dog owners in your post to do the same! For a little extra incentive, when you post your video to our group you will also be entered to win a full day of doggy daycare at our facility ($25 value)! 🐾

Daisy & Boys will be donating $50 to Barrington Leisure Park Association go along with our money raised from gift wrapped Blue’s Boxes 😊🎄
