Charlie was afraid of Pablo while we were at the park, but once we were in Pablo’s yard, Charlie decided that he REALLY liked Pablo 😂
Little Pablo learned to lie down and go on his side today. This little trick can be very helpful during vet visits for when examining your pooch for anything like ticks or scrapes.
Pablo is the most eager student!
Winston needed some extra wearing out today so he can stay calm(ish) for the trick or treaters this evening! He put on his thinking cap and figured out how to get his ball! Using his all his senses tired this crazed boy better than ever!! Way to use your noggin buddy!!
Winston is now beginning to defer to me while we walk, so I tried tapping my nose as soon as he offers me a “look” without using the command and he responded very well!!!!
Winston has been working on his long term focus while I tap the end of my nose. As I tap my nose I would like him to keep his eyes on me, so when we walk by a bus stop full of people he doesn’t get too excited and want to jump on anyone. He’s doing very well! I made a mistake in the beginning because I didn’t realize he was peeing when I gave him the command.
Yesterday’s walk was too smoky for anything too physically active, so Winston got a shorter walk as we walked on his focus with “look”.
I had nothing to do with Winston learning “look”, that was all the hard work of his family and For the Love of Paws Pet Service - Dog Training Edmonton Dog Trainer. Winston gets very excited when he sees someone walking towards him and wants to jump on strangers, so this command has been a life saver! We are now working on target training with “touch”! He’s a smart little cookie!
We all know where Lily’s favourite place is…this is what happens when I put the car in park at the G & E Pharmacy parking lot! what a funny girl!
Kylo met Winston and they were instant pals! You can imagine what the on leash walk from the car to the park was like…all I can say is that my biceps will be bulging in no tome!
Kylo sought out the last of the free snow cones last night. Every time he saw a perfect one he rushed over for a few bites! Snow cone season is over buddy!
This time, instead of having the reward treats on the table, I had them in my hand but the little bugger figured out that I had a fistful of treats, so I was waiting for him not look at the treat on the floor, nor look at my hand with the treats. As you all know, I have the mouth of a sailor, so just ignore my colourful language.
Winston was doing really well with leaving the treat in my hand…I decided to challenge him a little more with the treat on the floor. I also added the lure of gently tossing the treat, but I think I pushed it too fast.
