Hi there! My name is Genesis! My name means new beginnings and I'm really excited about mine! I'm 11 months old, and I'm a little boy! My foster mom tells me it's okay to be scared and has met me with so much patience. She says I am going to need a family with alot of patience too, because it seems I wasn't always met with patient and gentle hands. She wonders if I know what human hands are at all!

Thanks to one of our amazing followers Edison has recieved her very own humidifier! This should help her skin recover alongside the medicine she is on! Thanks to them we also have replenished our pet food bank and have been able to help pets in need! We are so thankful to everyone who donates to us! It always helps so many little mouths and paws! For those who have been watching for Edison! She is currently enjoying and thriving in 80 gallons of space!

Now you may be surprised we don't have Edison in a tortoise box! Unfortunately due to her missing foot and daily need for medications, supplements, and soft blanket padding, edisons vet decided a tank was the safest bet! Tortoises love to chew on spider plants and shes so happy to have one of her own!

Box turtles enjoy all sorts of delicious fruits and vegetables, alongside proteins!

A warm welcome to Mr. Chance Caramel!

Chance was saved by a kind woman and her two daughters after he was offered up as snake food! They just knew we would be able to help him find the right place to be.

One of our wonderful previous adopting families has been waiting for a little gerbil for some time, and is eager to foster to adopt him after his mandatory holding time.

For those of you that don't know! Did you know tote bin housing is one of the best for hamsters and gerbils? Especially In rescue! They allow ample space, they're deep enough to provide burrowing space for the little critters, and for us personally, we love that they can be fully sanitized and tucked away for the next creature in need.

Another great option for gerbils is fish tanks! (Minus the fish of course!)

Edisons shell is getting much better with lots of betadine baths! She is still seeking donations for further vet care, and other essentials to her lifelong care. Edison is feeling much better after a very needed grooming from the vet. She will need daily medicated baths to get her shell looking and feeling great!

We are currently accepting donations for a permanent care Eastern box turtle. Edison unfortunately has severe deformations and a long list of deficiencies. She will need constant monitoring for the rest of her life. Please consider contributing to her life. Did you know box turtles can easily live 100 years?

It is with a heavy heart we bring you the news that Vi (now renamed Poppy) is back up for adoption, through no fault of her own. She is a very bossy lady and is best kept with a neutered male, or very timid females. Additionally she has thrived as a solo pig who can talk to others in the home through cage bars! We give a warm welcome to little Leonardo. Right now he is enjoying a snuggle during initial intake and evaluations. Leo will be put on the standard holding period for observation and quarantine.

A bit about Leo! Leo will be 1 in January! Wouldn't it be wonderful if he had a new family by then to share his special day with?

Leo is in great shape and a very happy go lucky guy! Unfortunately, Leo's moms new job is a bit further away, and very taxing. Rather than compromising the care she was giving him, she decided it was best to reach out to us and find him an approved home with the time and knowledge to care for skinny pigs. They are a fair bit different from your usual guinea pig!

Leo comes with a number of his belongings to his approved home, please feel free to reach out to send in an application to adopt leo. Keep in mind, as always. There is a no breeding contract on any of the MM animals.
Proof of ability, and knowledge of care will be required. If you're not sure about things, it's okay to ask!

We offer our condolences and hold Fred, George and their wonderful family in our thoughts today.

Fred was humanely put to rest after an 8 day battle. Their family did all they could, but the 2 emergency vets that were handling his case originally, unfortunately did not have the experience needed to cure hay poke. It was handled as best as the two vet offices could, but guinea pigs are not commonly seen by either with eye issues.

His eye after extraction of the offending hay, developed an infection that led to early stages of sepsis, and he developed pneumonia that quickly had his candidacy for surgery denied.

He would not have survived going under with the ammount of fluid in his lungs, the vet that was able to see him and had him in for surgery eval, reccomended he be PTS.

Fred is dearly missed by his family and the MM team. Cross over the rainbow bridge in peace dear friend.

Hey everyone. I'm sure you all remember darling boars, fred and george. In an unfortunate turn of events, fred had gotten very bad hay poke and the vets were unable to save the eye.

He and his family moved quite a bit away, and have exhausted so much money in attempts to save the eye, and have contacted us letting us know it needs to be removed. Please consider donating to his moms go fund me, so that he may get better and be able to stay with his brother and loving human family.
