We're one of the largest Gypsy Cob ranches in Canada. River Lane Ranch is owned and operated by the Baird family. The ranch is located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan river in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. They breed, train and show Gypsy Cob horses. They strive for excellence and the traditional Gypsy Cob type thats been bred in England by the Romany Gypsies for hundreds of years. There is occ

They say patience is a virtue… and God knows we have to remind ourselves of that as we count down the days until all our foals arrive this spring.

Every year we go through the same mix of emotions….excitement, nerves, hope, dreams, and every year the past proves one thing loud and clear:
incredible foals are on their way. 👏

We don’t know their markings yet.
We don’t know their personalities.
We don’t know which ones will come into this world loud and proud or quietly and sweetly…

But what we do know is this:
each one will be a miracle.
Each one will carry the legacy of the horses we love.
Each one will change us, challenge us, and bless us in a way only a new foal can.

So here we are….waiting, watching those beautiful bellies grow, and trusting the process. ❤️

We cannot wait to welcome the next generation of River Lane Ranch into the world and don’t worry… if you’re following along we’ll be sharing them with you also. 😉❤️

Our Story

River Lane Ranch is owned and operated by the Baird family. The ranch is located in North East Edmonton, just outside of Sherwood Park Alberta.

They breed, train and show traditional Gypsy Cob horses. Several of their horses are also a part of a Healing With Horses program that’s provided at the ranch in the form of ranch tours and/or one on one private sessions.
