Miles matter more than opinions….

Don’t worry about how new you are, how green your saddle is, or how long it’s been since you rode.
The horse doesn’t judge you, and all those excuses just prevent you from doing what you really wanna do.
Ride.
Show up. Get on. Ask for help. Communicate. Don’t give up.
The coolest memories and moments are just waiting to be lived.

It’s hard to believe that it’s a year ago today we first noticed that something was wrong with Sully’s gait.
Things declined rapidly over a few weeks and before we could understand what was happening… Sully had lost the use of his back legs completely.

One post we made asking if others had seen this before…led to a landslide of help and huge support from our followers.
The internet can be an amazing place, and filled with incredible people.❤️

Sully was able to be seen by Dr.Casey at Pulse Vet who forever changed the course of his life. ❤️

Today… Sully is able to walk without any aids and has the best quality of life, thanks to so many who had a hand in helping him receive a life changing surgery.
He has something called .. Cranial thoracic vertebral canal stenosis.

We couldn’t imagine our lives without this big beautiful boy, and we’ll be forever grateful to all the hands, angels and helpers who had a part in saving his life. ❤️

We love you Sully. 🥰

Don’t let social media fool you…

Behind the scenes of what looks perfect is messy, hard, and complicated.
And though that’s the truth about ranching, we wouldn’t choose anything else but this. ❤️

Only two days into the new year and we continue to see so many blessings and reasons for gratitude all around us. ❤️

Remember the little wins, and the wonderful stolen moments that make you laugh, or smile… are just as important as the big ones. ❤️

#2026

As 2025 comes to a close, we pause and say thank you….

Thank you to everyone who supported us, followed along, visited and vacationed at the ranch, loved our horses, cheered us on, and stood with us…. especially during some moments that weren’t easy.

This year gave us so many blessings… though it also gave us challenges. The kind that stretch you, humble you, and teach you lessons you didn’t know you needed. We’re grateful for all of it… because every struggle shaped us, strengthened us, and reminded us what truly matters. ❤️

We’re thankful for our family, our herd, this land, and the community that has grown around River Lane Ranch. None of this is lost on us. ❤️

As we step into a new year, we do so with full hearts, grounded feet, excitement and anticipation for the year ahead.

Here’s to growth, gratitude, resilience, and whatever the next chapter brings.

We have big plans for 2026….and we’re not tiptoeing into them.

It’s the Year of the Horse, and we’re taking that as our sign to move with momentum, take up space, trust our instincts, and build boldly. This is the year we expand, deepen our roots, raise the bar, and step fully into the vision we’ve been working towards. 🎉

Happy New Year from all of us at River Lane Ranch… remember don’t be so busy this year that you stop dreaming. 😉
