DXE Edmonton DXE Edmonton is one of many chapters world wide, doing peaceful disruptions to speak out for animals.

The aim of our actions is to shake up what is considered 'normal', to initiate discussion and awareness about what is happening to ALL animals. Direct Action Everywhere's mission is to empower activists to take strong and confident action wherever animals are being denigrated, enslaved, or killed and create a world where animal liberation is a reality. We use creative nonviolent protest to tell th

e animals' story. As a culture, we must open our eyes to the violence that is happening behind closed doors everywhere. We must open our eyes to the common feelings that all animals feel, the common fears that we all fear. After YOU have opened your eyes, help us make a better world by opening the eyes of those around you to our mission to create a between and different sort of world: A peaceful and beautiful world where the animals are liberated.

Corporations profit from cruelty because society stays silent—but we refuse to be silent. By taking our message to Louis Vuitton, we made sure their customers and staff couldn’t ignore the reality: **Animals want to keep their fur and their skin. Their body parts do not belong to us.** 🦊❌👛

🔥 **HUGE THANK YOU to all the activists** who came out to the demonstration at the Farmers’ Market and to those who stayed for the **powerful disruption** at Louis Vuitton in West Edmonton Mall! 💪🐾

We reached hundreds of shoppers with the truth about fur and leather. Louis Vuitton heard us. The mall heard us. And yes, we accepted our 24-hour ban with a smile—because they know we’ll be back. We will not stop until fur is abolished.

All for National Anti-Fur Day. Thank you for taking action for the animals!

🚨Hello everyone. This restaurant has blocked us on a few sites already. However not all of them. I am asking that if anyone is apposed to the production and sale of Foie Gras (where ducks have a pipe shoved down their throats and they are force fed until their liver is grotesquely fattened for sale) please email this restaurant and let them know of your displeasure.

📷They have displayed for you a picture of the dead duck all served up for consumption.

📣We are asking them to remove this item and replace it with a less torturous item like a potato dish.

❗️ I am not wanting you to be rude, just show concern for the sale of this item due to its inherent cruelty. (This is a low hanging fruit item and a lot of restaurants are being pressured enough to drop this item before any further action is necessary).

👉We already had a campaign last year, however they failed to comply so we are solidifying our asks before we take the next step.

📣If you do not know Padmanadi, you must be new to the city and or the Vegan Community. When Kasim packed up his whole family and moved to Canada from Jakarta, he had a dream. If you have not had the pleasure of doing activism with this woman just yet, you will apparently get your chance this year for she is kicking it up a notch now that the book is published!

📙I have been reading her book now....wow.....
Here is a bit about her...RESPECT:

👉Andrea Heinz spent seven years in the licensed commercial s*x industry In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from 2006-2013. She holds a diploma in Correctional Services and is presently completing a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Governance, Law, and Management.

‼️😮Andrea is a peer-reviewed scholar on commercial s*xual exploitation, has written for several professional publications, participated in a number of interviews, and appeared as a witness for the parliamentary review of Canada’s prostitution laws. She is the recipient of many awards including a Woman of Courage award (Centre to Empower All Survivors of Exploitation and Trafficking), the inaugural Dr. Zohra Husaini award for exceptional dedication towards advancing the human rights of women (Indo-Canadian Women’s Association), and a Human Rights Champion award (John Humphrey Centre for Peace & Human Rights). Andrea is happily married with 3 young children.....I could go on but I only have so much space here....lol
