Join us for Bark to School photos September 16th - 21st (Mon - Sat)! 🎓📚🍎 This year we will be taking University grad portraits with different faculty options. Pick from Education, Engineering, Arts, or Nursing/Medicine and the pups get to wear Faculty-specific stole colours!

❗️*CANINE COUGH NOTICE*❗️

Please note that we have received a few notifications that dogs who have been here recently have Canine Cough.

As dogs are out being social during the summer, it is common that they may contract this illness after being in ANY dog-to-dog social setting.

We ask that if your dog(s) are showing any signs of coughing, hacking, sneezing, runny eyes/nose, that you please let us know and DO NOT bring them to daycare.

We assure you that we are taking necessary precautions and diligently cleaning. This will run it's course as it always does.

**SOME FACTS ABOUT CANINE COUGH**

🐾 In it's simplest form, it is a common cold in dogs, although highly contagious.
🐾 It can incubate for up to 14 days without your dog showing any symptoms.
🐾 Your dog(s) can get the cough even if they just meet a dog on the street who has it or in the same vicinity. It can also be caught by attending local parks or playing fields.
🐾Dogs who have contracted canine cough before have a better chance of fighting it off faster or not getting it as their immune system may be better.
🐾 In a lot of mild cases it is not necessary to see your vet although if you are worried and the symptoms seem bad we highly recommend it.
🐾Very young and old dogs are more at risk.
🐾 The Bordetella vaccination is not 100% but will help with the symptoms even if your dog(s) do get it.

**WHAT TO DO AND NOT TO DO**
🐾 If your dog(s) are showing signs, check with your vet for the correct course of action.
🐾 If your dog(s) have or suspected of having kennel cough, do not take them to any area where they can spread it like:
- Daycare/Boarding Facilities
- Social sessions
- Groomers
- Trainers
- Dog fields
- Pet Shops

🐾 Your dog(s) must not return to daycare if infected until the appropriate period as passed.
