Yellowhead Doodles Our only goal: to produce quality, healthy, and balanced pups suitable for family atmospheres. Our dogs are DNA tested, health checked and hip checked.

We are a small time doodle breeder located on a ranch off the Yellowhead Highway, near Edson AB. Breeding is strictly a passion and hobby of ours, this is in no way our main source of income. For that reason, we breed only if the female is ready, healthy, and suitable for producing pups. They are fed quality and nutrient rich dry food, supplemented with hormone-free raw beef bones and meat. Our fe

males are full time pets, exposed to machinery, animals, people, etc on a daily basis. Our only goal is to produce quality, healthy, and balanced pups suitable for family atmospheres.

Good Morning everyone! I haven't posted in a while because we have some big changes happening on our ranch - we are starting construction on our log house in the next month or two 🥳

I had everything planned out to facilitate a spring litter in 2023. However (as house builds apparently never go according to plan) the wheels have come FLYING off our original plans.

I've decided to postpone until potentially fall of 2023, when I won't be forced to split my focus and energy. For those on my waitlist, I apologize! I will keep you all in the loop.

Little Miss Maggie Mae is 3 months of pure joy💕. She had her second round of shots, and is a happy healthy girl. She weighed in at a whopping 16.5 lbs! She daily has active moments, we call it the "zoomies", running circles around the back yard. She sits, shakes a paw and is getting good at down, to lay down.

Vet appointment went awesome, everybody passed 🥳 The pups have a clean certificate of health, a certificate of vaccination, and their health records now - I'm working on adding them to everyone's go-home packages.

Last year, the sheep got out and ate my saskatoon bushes. This year, the puppies did a number on them 😝 I'm at the point where I'm just "okay" if I never see saskatoons from these poor bushes.

Aptitude Results! I sent the full exam out individually to everyone, but I figured you’d all like to know how your little one scored in comparison to the other siblings.

*Keep in mind: it’s most accurate to look at each individual test rather than the average score. It’s totally normal to see some 1’s and 2’s in a couple areas, which can bring the whole average down. The touch sensitivity really brought averages down, most pups took 8-10 seconds to react to discomfort which scored them a 1 in that category.
I like to see lots of 3’s and 4’s, ideally no 6’s.

This is a great tool to help you prepare a training plan for your little one. It should help you understand how sensitive they will be to correction and stimuli.

The higher scores = a little bit of gentle correction will go a long way, they’ll pick up on tones and little cues.

The lower scores = you better make your point quick and clear, but they will bounce back quick and keep on truckin.

Exciting news!! ALL of my pups from this litter have found
🌟amazing🌟 homes 🥰
I'm absolutely pumped to meet everyone in person next week when we deliver the puppies, it's been wonderful getting to know everyone over texts/phone calls/FaceTimes.
My family and I get so attached to each puppy while they're here, it makes my heart happy to know they're going to great families who will love them as much as we do.

P.s. I do have a waitlist started for spring of 2023 for those who couldn't make the timing work for this litter. Contact me if you'd like to be added to it 🙂

We're throwing lots of new things at the pups this coming week! Car rides, some solid food (not mashed) and introducing another dog.

Decaf (my other fur baby) was... not totally sure what to think about the 10 tiny children jumping at her face and eating her tail 😂

*Side note: We maintain a biosecure environment for the pups, and do not introduce the pups to dogs outside our farm. We don't recommend they are exposed to dog parks, other dogs, etc. until they're fully vaccinated. Because Decaf lives here and doesn't leave our property, she is an exception to our rule* 🙃

Penny has been harbouring a special little 🌟 secret 🌟 …….😇😍 10 beautiful babes are 2 weeks old 💞 all are doing fantastic! I can’t wait for them to be running around with us on the farm this summer 👩🏼‍🌾
