Even in the cold weather today, a few brave souls came out to ride. Moe was a good boy and jumped a few jumps; Beauty was ready to JUMP anything; and despite not getting a video of Derf, he was the best boy as always. The crew is ready for riders! Lessons starting soon!

Despite the weather today, a few brave families came out to try a lesson and had fun! So, we're building our lesson schedule this weekend. If you've got someone interested, now is a great time to reach out about options!

It is this time of year that people make resolutions, announce plans, make grand commitments. We're not doing it like that this year. 2025 was a year of surprises (hello Nova Scotia) and this year we're going to keep doing what we do. We're going to grow into our space, love our horses, support our riders. We're going to breathe, enjoy, laugh and empower. No big announcements, no large scale changes (aside from location). Just Us working hard, making a mess, cleaning it up, probably making another one, and maybe being lucky enough to find all the things we've packed away before the end of the next year lol.

Winter Camp Day 2 was full of smiles, fun and learning. What an amazing way to kick off our Nova Scotia journey and beautiful end to 2025. Let's go 2026, we're excited to meet you!

First day of Winter camp was a success! Everyone stayed warm, had fun, played with horses and minis. We built confidence, learned new skills and are excited to come back tomorrow ❤️ Well done campers, families and Miss K our helper!

We're getting there. Finding the boxes to unpack, finding the places to put the gear, assembling the storage. Helmets have moved from their storage tote into their cubes! Small steps but making progress! With the weather today we get to spend a little extra time prepping for camp tomorrow and making it just right ❤️

A few moments to enjoy the sun before the weather hits tomorrow. A quick hack at the end of the day for Toki and Ruby. A few horses got worked today and are starting to get ready for lessons! Stay tuned!

It is not lost on us how lucky we are to have such a beautiful farm. As we settle in, unpack, set up, work out programming...we're going to keep our principles and goals the same. To provide a supportive and positive environment for everyone that steps into our barn; to provide safe and fun sessions for all our riders; to keep our horses health and wellbeing our top priority because without that we can't ask them to look after our riders; to do our best to make horses accessible to as many as possible but still pay the bills ;) So while we settle and adjust, its going to fabulous. Just watch ❤️

Our introductory Camp event is FULL! We're setting up our lesson program and getting our horses back into work after a break. But we're excited to get back to it!
If you're interested in English lessons, please reach out and we'd be happy to share our info.

Merry Christmas Eve from our ever so patient horses.
Most of them are used to use putting hats and headbands on them. Jane has grown up with it and always gives the best eye rolls. But this year, Percy let us do it without any fuss...and then ran away before we could get it off him. I'll post a video in the comments ;) May Santa be good to all of you!

Bryan's Christmas photo was posted early, but now it's time to share Toki's. Merry Christmas friends!
Our camp spots are almost filled for next week, and we're taking names for our lessons starting up soon too. Going to be a busy holiday season getting everything unpacked and ready to roll

Touchstone Farm is home to a variety of animals. We have full sized horses, ponies and some miniature horses. Most of these equines are rescues or were at risk before coming home with us, we've promised them a soft landing and safe home for the rest of their days. The few that were not at-risk were purchased with the intention of becoming well loved family members for the rest of their lives. We also have pygmy goats, miniature sheep, two mini pigs, a variety of ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and our dogs. It's a full house!
Our promise here at the farm is to care for and treat every single animal like a family member, because they are. We take our responsibility to our animals very seriously. We never overbook them, we only take on a few events each week (if that) to make sure they get as much enjoyment from doing the parties as the guests do! Any proceeds from the farm go right back into the care and upkeep of the animals. Both my husband and I have careers outside Touchstone Farm, we can't expect them to pay our bills, but we are happy to go to work for them. We will NEVER put profits above their health and happiness.
We can promise that we'll have the same animals each year, plus some new ones of course. We value them like family, and have made a commitment to each and every one of them. Once the season ends, they come home, get spoiled and enjoy the rest until the next season.
The difference is easy to see. We simply adore our animals. We love to see them happy and having fun. Hearing children laugh and giggle because of our crew, it’s quite simply the best thing ever. This is by far, the most fun and best ‘job’ I’ve ever had.
