Not everyone can be the actual rescue heroes, but you can be a foster hero by fostering.

June is National Foster a Pet Month. If you are not ready to commit to giving an animal in need a permanent home, please visit your local shelter or rescue organization and consider fostering a homeless pet. All food and medical expenses are typically paid by the shelter or rescue organization, while you provide a temporary home to these deserving animals and help them experience the love and care they need to prepare them for permanent adoption. Some shelters even let you take a pet home for a weekend sleepover to help them decompress from an overcrowded shelter environment. No matter how long you can foster a shelter pet, you’ll be rewarded in the love and gratitude you’ll receive and can take pride knowing that you're helping to save a precious life in peril.

A picture from a few years ago at the King Street house. We loved the house and back yard but wanted a bit more space. The back yard was like walking through an enchanted woodland and the dogs loved having the shade for the summer. I will be working on a dog garden this year, although it will take years before it looks as lovely as this ❤️

I painted this mural several years ago on the town hall of Woodville, ON. Someone sent this picture to me (it was posted on facebook). I have no idea who these people are, but it makes me smile knowing that they wanted to take a picture in front of my mural 😊❤

Coming Soon! Jack Gets a Sister. It's been a long wait but the 2nd book in the Jack the Husky series is nearly finished. It seems like I've been saying that forever but delays are part of the journey...some mine...some not mine. It's all about getting through the issues and I think my publisher and I have handled everything quite well. After all, it's really important that my vision of Sophie's adoption story is perfect. This book will include many family dogs as well as a glimpse into a special place where my boyfriend and I met. It is on the verge of being wrapped up so for those that are waiting...hang in there!

Another bit of exciting news is that I just finished book 3 which is a Christmas story book and will include something very special, as well as some magic. It's about to go into production so it should be ready for next Christmas. Cheers! 😊

Most of the donated items from the Stuff the Bus fundraiser have either been hand delivered or shipped out. The total number of donated items is 694!! And the total amount of donated money came to $1,730!! Thanks again for all of the donations everyone. Every bit of help we can give to the rescue people/groups makes a difference. Thanks again so much! 😊
