We adopted Bosco a few months ago and he fits right in! Today he was catching snow flakes and enjoying the snowy weather. Harriet, not so much 😅
Save a pound cat with me 🚗💨
White Paws is adoptable through @fundsfurfriends
Here’s a look at what my day looked like being his chauffeur.
Guess who made it to Brandon?! Thanks to two locals (Tammy + Margaret). They contacted our rescue after managing to get him into a carrier and met Emma for transport. It takes a village but he is here, safe and off of the streets👏. Let us know if you are interested in this friendly boy. He will be neutered in the near future. My husband has decided his current name is “Mr. Beef”.
This colony of cats is living on 1st Street behind the lumber yard. After opening the door to the house, three cats had already taken off before the video was recording. This is why TNR is important!!! These poor cats were born outside and will likely live outside their entire lives. How did they get here you ask? All it takes is allowing your cats to be outside when they are NOT neutered or spayed. Irresponsible pet owners have caused this problem. Let’s not punish them for existing and trying to survive. Ways you can help them are suggested in the video. Negative comments WILL be deleted.
We still have NO idea how none of the kittens from Dolly’s litter have been adopted. Luckily, Westman Environmental Services has sponsored one of these beautiful cats, which means their adoption fee has been waived. They have officially been waiting 6 months (almost their entire life) in their foster home. If you would like to apply to adopt:
💜 Catalie Portman (female/domestic long haired tabby)
🩵Isaac Mewton (male/short haired tabby) or
🩵Harrison Furred (male/short haired tabby)
Please PM us and fill out our adoption form on straycatsoferickson.wordpress.com (link in bio). Once completed, the form can be sent to [email protected].
The first person to be approved will have their adoption fee waived and will receive a fully vaccinated and sterolized (spayed or neutered) kitten from this litter.
Update: After discussing the situation with some experienced TNR workers, we have concluded that Paris is too young to be released outdoors. This would be her first Manitoba winter as she was born in the spring. We are looking for a family/person who is comfortable taming a stray. Non-aggressive, just very scared. She is young enough that with time she could definitely trust. We will still honor the suggested donation of a $25 adoption fee. She is vaccinated, spayed and litter trained 👍🏻🩶Paris (a 5 month old stray) who was trapped in Erickson, has recovered from her spay and is being released tomorrow. We hate the idea of releasing her back on the streets and into the cold that is approaching. If there is any chance anyone wants to adopt a beautiful stray for $25 please contact us immediately. She is litter trained but feral and will likely do best in a barn or shed/shop. She will need to be confined for two weeks before allowing her to go back outdoors as her colony resides in Erickson and she will likely try to return. Help Paris stay warm this winter. Contact Michelle at 204 848 0588 or PM us 🙏
Trap, Neuter, Release!
Hoping to find Paris and London a warm, cozy barn/shed to stay out of the cold this winter. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting 1-2 feral cats they make a very cute duo 🥰 Only $25 each including vaccinations and sterolizations for some perfect little barn buddies.
Falken from the “tire litter” getting some exercise at his fosters. He will be at kitten yoga with his siblings this Saturday at Good Street Hall🩶🤍

📢CAUTION TO DRIVERS 📢
This is your friendly reminder to bang on the hood of your vehicle before starting. The key to winter safety is not to turn the key…
When the weather gets cooler, a nice warm place to cuddle up and drift off to sleep is the perfect remedy. For an outdoor cat, that warm spot might just be your car’s engine. In the winter months, it isn’t uncommon for veterinarians to see cats being brought in with extensive burns, degloved tails, or worse. This winter, take precautions to help cats out of this dangerous spot.
We have been developing photos of every animal that has come in and out of our care. Some of these sweet lives are are still available for adoption, others have found their homes . Just a little keepsake that we can look back on to remind us of the many lives we changed in a few short months. I think we are ready for another board 🩵 Missing from this collage is Milton, Bosco ans the kitten we are picking up October 2nd.
Meet Mavis (tabby) and Mertyl (calico). Sisters to Millie who were all found (with two others) in Erickson with no mother. Never give up on your foster kitties. Sometimes they just need time to learn that some humans are safe places 🩵
Tom’s vet day was a success😻
✔️no more earmites
✔️no infections
✔️no more litters
Tom is litter trained and friendly. He would make an excellent barn buddy. It would be great to get him off the streets as he does have quite a few scratches and wounds from cat fights. The colony he lives in already has several “Toms” so living in his own space in the country would probably make him feel more comfortable and safe. If you would like to apply to be Tom’s new barn buddy, please contact :
Michelle at 204 848 0588
And check out www.straycatsoferickson.wordpress.com for more info on our Barn Buddy Program that has successfully rehomed ferals in our community. Barn Buddy adoptions are a suggested donation of $25 minimum for a spayed/neutered and vaccinated mouser 🩷Donations for Tom’s vet care can be made to: [email protected]
