If love alone could keep them alive, they would outlive the world 1000 lifetimes and more. Happy Valentines Day, to the absolute loves of my life (& happy 1st birthday to my itty bitty bear, Koala). Their kisses are worth more than 25 cents & to me, they are priceless. Nobody tells you about how impactful the dogs you have in life can be, let alone in your 20s. These 3 keep me on my toes & remind me daily to look at life in a lighter perspective… Especially when those toes poke thru the socks they found before the washer did… They have seen me bend & break more times than 1, they have seen the absolute best & worst versions of me & yet they still choose to show up for me and support me more than anyone ever has or ever could. If they had thumbs, they’d be the ones picking us up off the floor for whatever reason were down for, no questions asked. Nobody tells you how much dogs feel or know, they know us better than we could ourself. They study us and understand our emotions more than they do their own, sometimes more so than we know ourselves. I’m not one to celebrate things but something in me tells me today is for them. Today, and for the rest of every valentines that they are breathing, no matter who is in my life & no matter where we are, everyday is for them, no matter what. These 3 have shown me the true meaning of unconditional love & loyalty. For that, I am eternally grateful and will forever be in debt to the love they have to give. We all deserve a love like a dogs love & there is absolutely nothing comparable. Make sure to show your fur babies extra love today but more importantly, show up for them not just today, but everyday, just like they do for you. They’re only here for part of our lives but to them, we are their whole life so make it one that counts🐾🖤
