It is my pleasure to provide my collective services to animal owners in Drumheller and area. Too busy to walk your dog? Scared of cat betrayal when cutting your cats nails? Let me handle it. Leaving town for a bit and you want the best for your creatures? Leave them with me to give them all the love and care you would.

On October 5th, 2017, Summer was certified as a Profession

A little about me, Summer Byers: I have owned animals all of my life. Mainly cats and dogs but I have also had the delight of playing Mom/owner to various rodents, fish and reptiles. Over the last 15 years, I have volunteered with the several animal rescue groups in Northern BC and in AB. Kitten snugglier, dog walker, trust builder, foster home, rehabilitative home, animal transportation driver... I LOVE to stay busy helping animal rescue groups. However, 2 years ago, I had to take a break from providing my services. I was rushed in for emergency surgery on my heart in 2019. During my recovery, I received lots of love and support from my clients and their animals. This fuelled my desire to get back to doing what I love: helping out families and their fur babies. Loveable Pet Care ensures we give back to animals in need by donating funds, services and Summer's personal time whenever possible to our local animal groups in Drumheller and others throughout Alberta & British Columbia as well. We have many connections all throughout Canada. Ask us today if you are a rescue group in need of support; we are always happy to lend a paw!

Loveable Pet Care started off as Steady Pet Care Solutions; it was opened in April 2017. We changed to Loveable Pet Care in 2021 to reflect our undying love for animals.

Meet Buddy, my personal shadow and cuddle muffin ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› he is microchipped and has his very own city license (he's very proud of his tags!)

Did you know the Dawson Creek requires both dogs and cats to be licensed? Make sure to get your kitties licensed (and microchipped at the vet!) so if they ever get lost, it's easier to get them back home to you ๐Ÿ’•

Look who's climbing! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿคฉ

During her first weeks in care, our littlest bear cub patient exhibited neurological symptoms that impeded her motor skills.

Her caregivers were so excited this week to spot her climbing the branches of her enclosure, showing just how much progress she's made since intake! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Does your kitty need his/her nails trimmed? Send us a message to book your cat in!

LPC is located in Dawson Creek, so Dawson Creek and area residents take priority, but we do travel out of town often!

We'll be in FSJ on June 8th and have several spots open for feline nail trims. Looking forward to loving up your kitties! ๐Ÿ˜ป

Hop to our latest blog (https://aiwc.ca/blog) for all you needed to know about Southern Alberta's most commonly seen lagomorph โ€“ the white-tailed jackrabbit! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿค“

โš  REMINDER: If you see a baby hare, leave it there! Baby hares are left alone by their mothers for most of the day, meaning unless the babies are directly injured there is no need for human intervention.

All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe, Beware the Jabberwock!

Maybe you've heard the poem? Or you've heard of "The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!โ€ ๐Ÿฆ‰

Meet our newest intake, Jabberwocky, the Great Horned Owl Owlet! Jabberwocky came to us a few weeks ago after he was found far below his nest with no parents in sight. Not all owlets are in danger if they are alone. However both of this patient's parents were not around and the nest was inaccessible to the rescuers to try and reunite him. After monitoring the situation, the rescuers gave us a call and transferred him here.

So far he has adjusted very well and is beginning to sprout his horns and new feathers! We're eager to watch his growth over the next few weeks! If you ever have questions about nestlings or fledglings and whether they need help, give us a call.
