Peri chilling! Quiet, calm and relaxed in the crate - a wonderful trait in a puppy! She's 14 weeks old now and also mostly housebroken. Suxh a sweetie!

Peri went to puppy class last night and did awesome! She's extremely handler focused and took the excitement of all of the new stimuli, people and puppies in stride!

She is still 👀 for her forever 🏡

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢 is still looking for her family!
Well started on crate training - she came with Miso and I to an obedience seminar last weekend from 9-5 and was excellent! She settled quickly and barely made a peep!

She sleeps solidly overnight.
Loves to play and train - I think she will be a very one-person, handler-focused puppy.
She has started leash training, manners, and is doing very well with potty training!

Born December 12, 2024. She has received her 8 and 12 week vaccines.

Tomorrow she starts a round of puppy classes!

Even though she's still waiting for a home, this is a critical socialization age, so she's getting all the training regardless of if she's staying or not! 🙂

Peri is working on her life skills! She's crating overnight now beside our bed and was excellent last night with no huge complaints!
She's also great through the day in her pen. She's on her way to learning potty training and enjoys going out with the other dogs!

Little Miss Peri Bear is the last of the litter searching for her perfect home!

Peri is more of a sit-back-and-observe puppy. Despite this, she doesn't lack confidence. She likes to know what's going on and be in charge of her siblings.
I forsee her being a fairly pushy adult, so firm, fair boundaries will be important for her! She reminds me a lot of her mom, Miso, as a puppy, so I think she will be very similar. I think she will attach very strongly to her person. She could certainly excel in sports but that is not a requirement.

She has received her 8 week checkup/shots/deworming as well as had a trip to CullenWebb animal eye specialist in Moncton to have her eyes examined/cleared by the canine ophthalmologist. Her eyes were all clear!

She is a CKC registered purebred Australian Shepherd and will come with Trupanion pet insurance go-home deal as well as my own personal puppy package.

She has been thoroughly socialized and had early neurological stimulation and puppy culture as a she devloped. These methods are proven to produce happier, more well rounded puppies and eventually dogs.
She's also begun crate training and is well on the way to understanding potty training.

Crate training is a vital skill that all dogs should learn!

Luxlight puppies get their crate training started while still here! They've been working on it throughout their 9 weeks with me so far - and this is the result (that will need to continue to be built upon as they change homes and as they mature!) - 3 quiet puppies taking a nap 🥰

Monarch (Skye) and Azure (Charlotte - Lottie) head off on their new adventures next week!

I have one girl left waiting for her perfect home! Peri - Black Tri natural bobtail.
She's more on the serious side with a bit of spice - she reminds me of Miso!
Loves to play, friendly with dogs and people but she's also very observant and wants to know and be involved in what's going on. I think she would excel in a performance home, but definitely not a requirement.

Dart, now Wally, was the first to head off on his new life adventure tonight!
He will have two kitty sisters, Molly and Dolly!

He was my favorite little guy in the litter and I can't wait to watch him grow up! He'll be staying local so hopefully I'll get to see him now and then 🥰

🥰🥰 Day 1 of puppy yoga was a great success! Day 2 tomorrow! They were great babies and had so much fun!

The puppies are just loving going outside! It's been extremely cold here so they can't stay out long, but I've been trying to get them out often, even if it's only for a few minutes! Normally I'd have taken them on small "hikes" in the woods but at -20+ degrees they would freeze their little toe beans off.
Despite this, they are learning outside = go pee/p**p and they are also learning how to coexist with other "new" dogs!!

Spiro at almost 12 years old doesn't like puppies, so they haven't interacted with him much, but he's content with them outside. He's a good boy and lets them know with some loud barks if they get too close - this level of gentle correction isn't traumatizing to them and this is a really great learning opportunity for the puppies on canine communication!

On Sunday the puppies and I drove all the way to Kentville (5hrs each way) to do final puppy evaluations!

They travelled SO well and were the best babies - I was so proud of them! Potty stops were easy peasy and not a single p**p accident, all p**ps were done outside!

They handled the new place, people and dogs without any hesitation or worries. Dart and Copper (Iggy) were so relaxed they didn't even wake up when held on their backs, so of course we had to get a picture 😂

Miso joined too and was also a great girl! She was relaxed and content with everyone around and handling her babies.

Thanks to Jane for letting us use your space and for Kaitlin for doing evals with me 🥰

With evals now being done, we can firmly place puppies and know we have 3 spots left for availability - Monarch (red tri female -full tail), Dart (black tri male - full tail) and Peri (black tri female, short natural Bob) are still looking for their forever homes!

Sorry I've been so quiet lately
This week is the one year anniversary of my car accident that took Lux's life and left me hospitalized for a week - so I've been having a bit of a rough time, but puppies certainly help 💜
