Garbage & Recycling: Regular garbage and recycling collection will occur on Good Friday, April 10, and Easter Monday, April 13. Routine schedules may not occur, so please set out containers by 7 am. To keep operators safe, all waste must be in containers or plastic bags; loose waste will not be collected. The following materials are NOT collected: loose waste, ashes, street rubbish, household furniture and furnishings, construction and demolition debris.

The landfill at 1755 Alison Blvd., is closed to the public, but remains open to commercial vehicles and large haulers. Numerous other FRSW programs have been suspended including construction and demolition, household hazardous waste, electronic waste, shredding and Recycle@Work collection for region-wide businesses. Should you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

The organizers of Freddy Beach Ribfest have announced that this year’s annual June event is being re-scheduled due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. In a joint statement with competitive ribbers and Executive Director Mike Vokey, the group announced that after a month of tireless consideration the decision was made to re-schedule the June event in order to, “ensure the health and well-being of all those people who would gather together at our grounds and in turn, be in contact with others.”

Organizers are happy to announce that the new dates for Freddy Beach Ribfest are Thursday, August 20th through to Sunday, August 23rd, 2020.
