Silverwood Stables in Erin, close to Georgetown, has limited openings for new lesson riders & partboard options. Silverwood teaches riders from absolute beginners to advanced hunter/jumper riders. Whether you want to learn to ride, improve your skill set or excel in competition, Silverwood has the coaching and horses for you to succeed.

Lesson times available throughout the week and on weekends in group lessons, semi-private or private.
Part boarding and showing opportunities available on a great group of horses ranging from safe walk, trot, canter rides to competitive horses ready to show the Silver Series.

🦄 Available For Part Board as of November 1st! 🦄

Silverwood Stables is proud to offer several of our horses for part board beginning November 1st.

We have options for every rider! Dedicated riders would have the opportunity to show in the Silver Series at Angelstone for the 2024 season. Our horses have experience from cross-rails up to 0.90m jumpers, with options to show in Hunters as well.

Part board includes 1-2 lessons per week, with one free ride. PM us if interested!

Larry is turning into a great show horse ! 6th in the TB Classic at Angelstone with Lianne confidently piloting him around the 1.0m course. Thankful for his team of riders, caretakers and fans. Lots of hard work and dedication to bringing out his best is really starting to show. Congrats on this lovely ride

Saddle Club Sundays at Silverwood Stables! Check out our new program beginning next Sunday!

Taking inspiration from Bonnie Bryant's The Saddle Club books, Saddle Club Sundays demonstrate how strong friendships and leadership skills can help overcome challenges.

Our goal at Silverwood Stables is to create a safe and sustainable environment in which all ages, as well as equine friends, can form long-lasting relationships!

Saddle Club Activities:

🐴 Mounted games - Obstacle courses, spoon and egg races, pole races etc ..

🐴 1hr riding lesson - Our coaches are certified with Equestrian Canada and are friendly and patient with all rider levels.

🐴 Trail rides - Enjoy our beautiful trails through the woods and around the hay fields that enclose our acreage.

🐴 Horsemanship - Being the best rider you can be starts with groundwork and horsemanship exercises.

🐴 Horse care - Take pride in the way you take care of your horse.

🐴 Barn chores - Assist our diligent staff with chores around the barn, and learn what it really takes to care for a horse.

🐴 Stable maintenance - What does it really take to run an equestrian stable

🐴 Equine health and nutrition - Learn how our horse’s diet impacts their overall performance and happiness.

Sessions run weekly through June 25th 2023 until August 27th 2023.

Amanda and HEMI get their own post !! Myself, and the whole SWS team are so proud of you both today! Amanda stepped into the show ring after 20+ years away from it. Her incredible attitude and sheer joy to just be in the saddle today and enjoying her beloved horse was infectious. This team is truly part of the backbone of Silverwood stables and we wouldn’t be the incredible team we are today without them. Thank you for being you and making today so much fun. You brought a smile to all our faces, we love you! 💫🧡💜

“On The DOUBLE” Reserve Champ (see what I did there?) This boy and his gals deserve their own post! Truly such a splendid day for Lauren and Maddie with Dublin, shown as On The Double. Lauren piloted him through the hack division bright and early this morning to a reserve champ finish and then stepped into the ring for the 0.60m jumper division and rode so intelligently and played to get horses strengths to give him the best experience in the ring. Super proud of them! Maddie then took the reins and cleaned up in the cross rails over fences indoors as well as her under saddle classes, knowing when to showcase her equitation and then allowing Dublin to show off his hunter style on the flat! This allowed them to also bring home the reserve championship. This young horse has come so far under thoughtful care and fitness plans and an incredibly loving team with his owner and his part boarders. What a guy!

Silver 2 recap.

Rio navigated Bam through some incredible courses in the 0.6, 0.7 AND 2’6” Derby ! This pair continues to impress me with their confidence in the ring and the commitment to improving every round.

Ella and Chester laid down some lovely over fences trips in the Childrens Pony, made some great efforts in the 0.8 jumpers and had a really handy Derby round (again!). This pair works so well together and always steps up to whatever is asked of them.

Larry exceeded all of our expectations with his attitude towards a busy weekend. We have had this horse for 21 days and while I get to know him we decided to throw him into the 0.6 jumpers, hack division and even a derby. He pinned in almost all of his classes, and we have realized that he doesn’t like fake flowers (time to do some homework now that we’re home!)
Overall, super proud of the team and how everyone always pitches in to help get us from ring to ring and care for our horses. It was an exhausting weekend made easier with all of the amazing people that showed up for us. I couldn’t have gotten into the saddle while also coaching if it wasn’t for and

Knowing that and .84 were also holding the farm down at home made the weekend so much easier !
