I started very young wanting to help my mom organize functions for her local Royal Canadian Legion. Making a room “sparkle” for each event and arranging the tables with a “pop of colour”, I knew there was something special about this. As my children were growing, and when I found a little time for myself, I started looking for a way to take what I loved to do to the next level. So I became a Certi

fied Wedding Planner through The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, which is recognized all over the world. A couple years later I did my Destination Wedding Planners Certificate. I love to organize, and I pay attention to even the smallest of details. My creative imagination can take your concept ideas and coupled with my contagious enthusiasm, transform them into an amazing experience for you and your guests. I always remain calm and helpful during your day so that I can handle any little mishap that might occur without letting the festivities miss a beat! The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada taught me all the basics and then some, so I ventured out on my own and created “Who’s Your Planner?” and I have been a Certified Wedding Planner for eight years. The name of my business came as a joke between my dad and I. I was looking for something catchy, and because of my sense of humour, my dad one day said, “How about “Who’s Your Planner” you know like “Who’s Your Daddy”...it might make people giggle when they hear it. I started my business in Ottawa and then shortly after moved out to Alberta, where I worked as a Wedding Consultant on contract with the I Do Weddings Shop in Cold Lake, AB. I took a break for three years as another child came along and needed my attention, and during my break became the Manager of Icings Bridal Boutique in Cold Lake. The time has come to get back to my love and I am so excited to share my passion with you. In my spare time, I am a wife and mother to three amazing children. We enjoy our time together as a family and share it with our beautiful dog Bella.

Who’s Your Planner, in partnership with the Christina Gateway Community Development Association, is thrilled to present Boundary’s first-ever Home & Leisure Show!

📅 Dates & Times:

May 24: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

May 25: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

📍 Location: Christina Lake Community Hall

We are looking for vendors who offer products and services related to:

🏡 Home Improvement, including (but not limited to…):

Hardware stores

Flooring, décor, and furniture

Green energy solutions (solar, energy efficiency, etc.)

Note: Direct trades (contractors, electricians, etc.) are not included in this event, but we encourage you to collaborate with your local suppliers as they can provide recommendations for installation of their goods

Outdoor and recreational gear

RVs, ATVs, boats, paddleboards, bikes

Camping and sports equipment

Experience-based services (adventure tours, outdoor activities, etc.)

Ok, 😊 so my apologies that this has taken so long. Between pneumonia, Christmas, and getting back to work and kids to school, I am so late sharing.

This was going to be the article submitted to the paper, but never got sent 😞

For the 6th year, Erinne Allen with Who's Your Planner? has brought the community together to showcase beautifully decorated trees to auction off for charity. From individual’s to corporate businesses, decorations ranged from after-school artwork to Christmas gnomes to a bevy of peacocks.

This years’ sponsors helped to purchase the trees and as well as providing a platform to display the 24 them for the public to stroll the rooms and take in their beauty. We also had a donation of four stunning stained-glass ornaments from a local business.

“I want to thank everyone who participated this year, it meant a lot to me personally. Last but not least, I want to thank my family for all your help and support in the set-up and takedown of my event. You are there for me every year.”

Now, the drum roll, please; this year, the total raised was $4,260!!! This amount will be divided evenly between three local charities, each of which will receive $1,420.00. This brings the six-year total donated to these three charities to over $21,000.00 to date

Consider getting involved and sponsor a tree for auction, let’s continue to fill Gallery 2 to the brim with magical Christmas wonderment! Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.

Big thanks to Clyde's Pub for the fantastic meal & service last night as we celebrated and showed appreciation for our amazing volunteer Board of Directors and hardworking staff for all they’ve done this year. I have to apologize for taking so long to post the total. Anyone who was watching knew I was slowly declining in how I was feeling....well turns out I have pneumonia...go me!!

Anyway, thank you all so very much for your participation, your continued support, and your generosity. You all make Festival of Trees what it is.

$4259.00 is what our finished total was after more generous donations came in. Wahoooo!!!

As soon as I am better, I will make the donations to the Grand Forks and Christina Lake Christmas Hampers and the Boundary Community Food Bank.

Walk through of the Gallery 2 - Grand Forks Art Gallery so you know what to expect when you come and also what to look for when we go live on Saturday.

Our float for the Christmas Parade Grand Forks. Our community should be so proud. There were over 20 floats.. I am not sure how many exactly... we were number 5, and I spoke to number 21, and there were so many more.
