Adopt Zack and Zara šŸ©¶šŸ–¤

Zack and Zara are currently at PetSmart – 7 Clair Rd W, Guelph, and are hoping to find their forever home together before the holidays!

Meet Zack!
Zack is a 4-month-old black domestic shorthair male who is currently with his sister Zara. He was trapped with his siblings from a colony, and upon arrival it was discovered he had a severe eye deformity that caused him significant pain. To ensure a comfortable, pain-free life, his eye was surgically removed. Zack has healed beautifully and is now thriving.

Zack is a joyful, curious, and playful kitten who greets each day with enthusiasm. He loves exploring, chasing toys, pouncing on imaginary prey, and showing off his goofy antics that are guaranteed to make you laugh. When playtime is over, Zack is just as happy to cuddle, curling up in your lap and purring contentedly. Zack is full of energy, affection, and personality. He would love a home with his sister Zara, or with a young cat or dog who can match his energy.

Meet Zara!
Zara is a 4-month-old black domestic shorthair female who is currently with her brother Zack. She is the ultimate cuddlebug of her litter and starts purring the moment you give her attention. While she enjoys playing, wrestling, and chasing toys with her siblings, Zara’s favorite place in the world is your lap, where she can snuggle and purr herself to sleep. Gentle, loving, and affectionate, Zara has a heart-melting personality that makes every day brighter. She would also like to go home with Zack, or to a home with a young cat or dog companion.

Zack is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, and on parasite prevention. Zara is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, and on parasite prevention. The adoption fee is $300 each or $550 for the bonded pair. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Adopt Fiona šŸ’š

She is now at PetSmart- 7 Clair Road W, Guelph to meet! Please share her post so she can find her forever home before the holidays!

Meet Fiona, a stunning black domestic medium hair with striking green eyes, approximately 4 years old.

Fiona is the perfect mix of elegance and affection. She has a gentle, calm demeanour that makes her ideal for cozy evenings at home, yet her curious and playful spirit shines when she’s exploring her surroundings. Fiona loves quiet companionship and will reward her humans with loyal friendship and soft purrs.

Fiona has a diagnosed food sensitivity and is on a special diet, Go Insect (dry & canned), which avoids certain proteins. Strict adherence to her diet is essential - no non-approved treats, table scraps, or temporary changes - to prevent symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, or skin and coat issues. Consistent feeding of her approved food and regular veterinary oversight are required for her long-term health.

She would likely thrive in a home with another cat or dog companion, provided introductions are slow and gentle.

Fiona is spayed, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. Her adoption fee is $300.

To adopt Fiona, please submit an adoption application found in the drop-down menu on our website.

Meet Peanut, the goofiest, most affectionate 110lb hunk of love you’ll ever meet.

Peanut is looking for a very special retirement home, one that understands her unique medical needs and is ready to welcome a big, loving presence. She has been without a home for over a year, and after fostering her for several weekends, we are thrilled to have her back with us by Christmas while we continue searching for her forever family.
Peanut is an approximately 8-year-old Mastiff mix who came from a situation of long-term neglect. Despite everything she has been through, she is kind, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet.

About Peanut:ļæ½Peanut loves everyone she meets and proudly greets visitors with her emotional support octopus, gifted by someone very special to her. She is very well house trained and non-destructive. She enjoys sniffing walks, zooms in the yard, and relaxing in her bed with her toys. She is a champion cuddler who prefers to be close to her people. Peanut has done well with calm dogs and would not mind a canine companion. She is ideal for someone looking for a loving dog without the chaos and destruction of puppy energy.

Medical needs:ļæ½Peanut is an insulin-dependent diabetic and requires daily insulin, monitoring, and routine veterinary care. She has some old orthopaedic injuries and is maintained on daily gabapentin to keep her comfortable and mobile. She eats a veterinary-recommended diet, which she loves. Her estimated monthly costs for insulin, diabetes monitoring supplies, food, and gabapentin are approximately $500.

We understand this is a significant commitment, and we are hopeful to find a home with the resources, stability, and compassion to give Peanut the life she deserves.

Ready for adoption:ļæ½Peanut’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, has recently had dental surgery, her mast cell tumors have been fully excised, and her orthopedic issues have been addressed. Peanut is healed, comfortable, and ready to find her forever home.

All Peanut wants now is a loving home where she can be cherished unconditionally for the rest of her days. If you or someone you know may be the right fit for Peanut, please consider sharing her story. Sometimes the perfect home is just one share away.

If you’re interested in adopting peanut, please email us at [email protected] or fill out a dog adoption form below:

Who wouldn’t want to wake up on Christmas morning to a trio of snuggly pigs, ready to fill your home with love? šŸ’”šŸ·

Our hearts are absolutely breaking as Mama Elizabeth and her sweet babies areĀ stillĀ waiting for a forever home. What hurts the most is that they haven’t received any interest at all, something we are truly shocked by. We can’t understand how such affectionate, funny, and downright adorable companions have been overlooked. Honestly… whoĀ wouldn’tĀ want these cuddly little souls?

Mama Elizabeth and her babies are pure love. The moment you appear, they come running, eager for pets, scratches, and treats, soaking up every bit of attention you’ll give them. They snuggle together under cozy blankets when it’s cold, and when the sun comes out, they joyfully zoom around outside. Their personalities are big, their hearts even bigger, and their love is endless.

It’s heartbreaking to think that while so many homes are preparing for the holidays, this little family is still waiting and hoping for someone to choose them. They deserve to feel safe, cherished, and adored every single day. They deserve a family who will love them as much as they love in return.

They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. The adoption fee for the trio is $150. They are located in Guelph, ON.

Please, help us give Mama Elizabeth and her babies the Christmas miracle they so desperately deserve. They are ready to love, ready to snuggle, and have waited far too long for their happy ending. Even if you can’t adopt, please share their story so it can reach the family who’s meant for them. šŸ’”šŸŽ„šŸ·

Help Ragu & Zack Heal This Holiday Season

This holiday season, we’re reaching out to our community to help two very special felines, Ragu and Zack, who have been through more than any kitten should. We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover their recent medical expenses.

To date, we have spent well over $5,000 on their care, and every donation helps us continue providing lifesaving treatment to kittens like them.

Meet Ragu
Ragu was born with his umbilical cord wrapped tightly around his leg. Unfortunately, his previous owners were unaware of the issue until it was too late. By the time he came into our care, his leg was no longer viable and had developed a painful infection. After careful consideration, we made the difficult but necessary decision to amputate his leg. Ragu is now healing and learning to thrive as a tripawd.

Meet Zack
Zack was trapped with his siblings from a colony. Upon arrival, it was clear he had a severe eye deformity that was causing him significant pain. To give Zack a comfortable, pain-free life, his eye was surgically removed. He is now on the road to recovery and doing well.

If you’re able to make a charitable donation this holiday season, we would be incredibly grateful.

How to Donate
E-transfer: [email protected] (preferred)
Other donation options are available on our website: www.dorsetrescuekittens.ca

Tax Receipts
Donations over $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Please include your full name, email address, and home address, which can be emailed to [email protected].

Thank you for helping Ragu, Zack, and so many other kittens get the care they deserve. Your support truly makes a difference.

Adopt Dr.Pepper šŸ’™

Dr.Pepper is a 3 year old domestic shorthaired brown tabby. He is currently in foster care.

Meet Dr. Pepper, a charming young cat whose bright personality stands out right away. He’s warm, affectionate, and loves greeting his people with enthusiastic little nudges. Naturally curious, Dr. Pepper enjoys checking out anything new, whether it’s a toy, a room, or an unexpected sound in the environment.

He has tons of energy and will flourish in a home that can offer him plenty of stimulation, playtime, and activities. Treats are a major highlight of his day, he’s a big fan of snacks and happily enjoys just about any food he can get his paws on.

Dr. Pepper is a spirited, fun-loving boy who throws himself into play with incredible enthusiasm. Whether he’s sprinting after toys, leaping at moving shapes, or zooming around at full speed, he brings a burst of excitement to everything he does. With so much drive, he can occasionally become overstimulated, so he’ll do best with adopters who can tune in to his signals and give him a moment to settle when he’s had enough.

He would do best in an adult-only household. He may be easily overstimulated by the energy and noise of children, so we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers who can provide a peaceful and predictable environment.

He’s searching for a home that can match his lively pace, ideally with a high-energy family or an equally active cat or dog buddy. Any companion animals should be comfortable with his exuberant personality and be up for lots of interactive play. Dr. Pepper sometimes needs gentle redirection to his toys when he’s getting a bit too riled up, and he’s still learning to feel at ease when his food is being set down. With the right environment, Dr. Pepper will blossom into a joyful, affectionate companion who brings endless fun and personality to his new home.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. His adoption fee is $300. To adopt, please submit an adoption application found in the drop down menu on our website.
