Dogs, Horses, and Eden Farm News!
🐾Open House/Grand Re-opening Sept 20th Noon – 4pm
FREE!
Join us on Saturday September 20th between noon and 4pm for our grand re-opening at our new facility in Belwood, ON. Take a tour of the farm, meet the horses, try out the agility field with your dog, or walk the trails. We will be available to answer questions about our horse and dog programs. If you have a reactive dog who doesn’t do well with a crowd please reach out so we can book you a private tour before or after the busy time.
🐾Intro to Tracking Workshop Sept 13th 7:30am – 11:00am
$49 plus HST per dog, plus $25 per additional dog from the same family.
No experience required, and we welcome reactive dogs. This workshop introduces the theory behind tracking, and gets your dog started with scent pads, straight tracks, and article indication. If your dog loves to sniff and enjoys food, this workshop is perfect for them.
🐾Intermediate Tracking Workshop Sept 21st 7:30am – 11:00am
$49 plus HST per dog, plus $25 per additional dog from the same family.
For dogs already started in tracking and ready to move on to the next level, we will be learning how to introduce corners, add articles to the track, start to lengthen the tracks, and learn how to reduce food dependency.
🐴Horse Handling and Training Workshop Sept 27th 9am – Noon (for ages 12 and up)
$49 plus HST per person, plus $25 per additional person from the same family.
Learn all about horses; their anatomy, behaviour, nutrition, how to groom them, handle them safely, and train them. This workshop does not involve riding horses, only working with them from the ground. You will get hands on experience with the horses, and apply your dog training knowledge to a whole new species.
If you can’t make it to this workshop, we also offer private and semi-private lessons for working with horses from the ground. Families with small children can book private lessons specifically tailored to teaching children about horses, and being safe around horses.

🐾CARO Rally-O Virtual Trial
Attention all CARO competitors! The next virtual trial is open for registration August 25th at 6am, and closes August 26th at 9pm. The trial will run October 1st until October 14th. We will be setting up the courses in our agility field, and recording runs for anyone who is interested in competing in these trials. Dates and times the courses are available will be announced at a later date. Let us know if you want to be on a mailing list for updates. $10 per course, multiple attempts permitted, feedback available.

🐾Group Class Start Dates: 6 weeks for $282 plus HST
Level 1 Sunday Sept 7th 4:30pm
Level 2 Sunday Sept 7th 7:15pm
Level 2 Monday Sept 8th 4:30pm
Level 3 Monday Sept 8th 7:15pm
Level 1: Name recognition, recall, eye contact, leave it, loose leash walking, sit, down, stay, release, go to place, hand target, door manners
Level 2: Progress the cues taught in Level 1, or Puppy Kindergarten, teach your dog to work for toys, tug, drop it, intro to formal heeling, adding distance, duration, and distraction to the place cue, and stays, long line training, and introduction to off leash.
Level 3: Progress the cues taught in Level 1, and 2, while increasing dependability with distance, duration, and distraction. Intro to rally, and agility concepts, go around an object, jump, navigate small rally courses, begin off leash heeling, and off leash stays, begin teaching a formal retrieve for competitive obedience, or service dog work.
