Walk and Train Programs!
Emma, ABC-DT, and obedience instructor at Eden Dog Academy, will be offering in home walk and train programs to help you train your dog, and challenge them mentally, and physically. If you struggle to do your training homework and don't have time for classes, this is a great option for you.
Walk and Train Program
The walk and train program takes the bulk of the work of training your dog off your hands. Our experienced obedience instructor, Emma, will come to your house for 3 training walks per week. A private training session is provided for the owner every other week so that you can practice the skills with supervision. Videos and written instructions will be provided. Each visit is 60 mins in duration. Each visit includes roughly 45 mins of walking, and training, leaving time for filling water dishes, snuggles, potty time etc.
4 Week Walk and Train Program
This is a training program for teaching basic obedience. This program is perfect to help you teach your dog every day obedience, and good manners around your neighborhood so that your daily walks are easier, and more enjoyable.
Skills Taught – All training is done on leash. The owner and trainer will work together to create a custom plan that can include; sit, down, come, loose leash walking, stay, leave it, and eye contact. $756.50 plus HST (Value of $890 with a 15% package discount)
8 Week Walk and Train Program
A training program for basic and intermediate obedience. This program is a better choice for dogs that need a little more work. Maybe your dog is a determined puller, is easily distracted, or is dealing with mild reactivity issues.
Skills Taught – Training is done on leash, or on a long line. All the basic skills are taught, and progressed by adding distance, duration, and distractions. You will get better, faster responses, more reliable recalls, and more solid stays. Additional training goals like reducing reactivity, and automatic sit at crosswalks can be added. $1424 plus HST (Value of $1780 with a 20% package discount)
Add on extra walks during your program for $60 – 20% = $48 plus HST
Add on extra private lessons during your program for $85 – 20% = $68
Walk and Train on demand
Walk and Train sessions are available on demand outside of the Walk and Train Programs for all students of Eden Dog Academy who have already completed group or private training, and graduates of the Walk and Train Programs.
Each walk and train session is $60 plus HST
Purchase walk and train packages to save money:
5 walk and train sessions for $300 – 5% = $285 plus HST
10 walk and train sessions for $600 – 10% = $540 plus HST
20 walk and Train sessions for $1200 - $15% = $1020 plus HST
There are no private sessions included in these packages, but you can add private sessions as needed for $85 plus HST per session.
About our Trainer Emma:
Emma is a graduate from the Equine Management program at the University of Guelph, and a certified dog trainer through Animal Behaviour College. She has been with Eden Dog Academy as a student and trainer for 2 years, learning about behaviour modification, pet obedience training, and dog sport training. She is the loving owner of two dogs, Shadow, a shepherd mix, and Billy, a purebred German Shepherd. Her experience walking dogs professionally makes her the perfect fit to help you do some of the legwork to make your family pet a dream to walk around the neighborhood. Emma's training style is very kind, and motivational. Your dog will love every moment they spend together.
