One year ago today a timid, awkward ball of black and white fluff stepped off a trailer and into my wounded heart. Not sure about people, thousands of miles away from all the other horses she’s ever known, and in an entirely different province, that little filly became “Dahlia”. Little did she know she had the biggest hoof prints to fill so soon after we said goodbye to our Penny. I can’t say I had any expectations other than that I needed a horse to fill that void, and who better than one that visually appeared so similar to another special horse in my life. Here we are three hundred and sixty five days later and I’m so thankful I took a leap of faith, buying an untouched filly provinces away and only weeks after an unbearable loss. Dolly, you’re stuck with me forever 🖤🤍

Making the most of a beautiful snowy day. The gypsy girls are making the most of their calories, even the one in Skyy’s belly. Uncle Hef showed Bailey the ropes and Skyy did what she does best - be a good agreeable pony ✨
