Penny Martin begins her story as a long haul truck driver of over 20 years, until unforeseen circumstances brought her home to look after her family. During Penny’s time as a truck driver she drove through North America and learned all about where the food we eat was grown. Her time hauling produce has taught her the best time of year to use each one, making her an expert in seasonal produce.
Penny is a long-time Bedford resident who after 27 years away has returned to open her own business, Natural Animal Treats. Penny, an animal lover who has helped countless strays, was concerned about the ingredients in the treats her friends were providing for their pets. Since 2014, Penny has spent countless hours researching every ingredient and combination possible to create the most nutritious, balanced, and affordable treats, and has enjoyed sharing her creations with the general public.
You can find Penny either at home making new delectable goodies for your pet or at various local markets around the HRM.
