⚠️ PSA FOR DOG OWNERS WHO USE VERNONS DINER TRAILS ⚠️
I broke my own rule today and went back to the trail because it was close and I'm on a time limit today:

Wrong.

It's a very oily substance that has a strong odor of used deep fryer oil 🤢. This is the second time that I have encountered this substance all over the road from the disc golf course to the road that goes to the lake at VERNONS DINER TRAIL. The first time I encountered this, I had to turn around because the roads were so slick that I kept slipping and subsequently pulled a muscle in my groin. Today, again, my dog and I had to turn around and leave because she wanted to eat the rocks that smelled like french fries. I suspect that he's illegally disposing of his fryer oil from the diner on to his land (like, WTF!?) which is not only unsafe for the environment, but also unsafe for any wildlife there and the dogs who use this trail daily.

I'm posting to let you know that in order to take care of my health and well-being, I will no longer be offering daily walks or drop-ins after June 30th. If you have already booked with me, your bookings will be honored, otherwise I will not be taking any new house sitting bookings until November 2024.
