💐Happy International Women's Day 💐 to all the amazing women who never give themselves enough credit for all that they do. A special shout out to my AMAZING staff (Julia, Amanda and Brandi) who time after time impress me with their care and support they provide all our customers. Women lead the pet industry - whether it is front line customer service, business owners, sales, scientists or innovators. Additionally, mostly women are responsible for saving thousands of animals by supporting or running rescues. We don't give ourselves enough credit for what we do. So, I am going to step out of my comfort zone and promote myself so you can get to know me!
I have owned and operated this store for over 6 years now. My philosophy is pet first, sale later. I pride myself in knowing as much as I can to support my customers. I have studied and trained in pet nutrition and holistic pet care. I have two wonderful children who are active in Hamilton sports. As a mom, I try to attend every Huskies, Sparta and MVL game possible. I am a pawrent to my furbabies but lost two of them this last year😭. This year has been hard for all businesses, many of us wondering if we will have enough to pay our bills, so I strive to support other local businesses to stay strong to support local to build a better home grown economy.
I have my Masters of Social Work and have been providing psychotherapy for over 15 years. In addition to the store, I provide mental health support to youth and adults and have my own private practice providing pet focused care with a specialization in bereavement. I am proud of what I have accomplished and to all the women out there - thank you - YOU GOT THIS! ❤🫶
