Foster Homes Needed: Provide a Loving Temporary Haven for Rescued Animals.

Are you able to provide a safe and caring environment for a rescued animal in need? The Clover Foundation is looking for compassionate foster families to temporarily care for animals awaiting adoption.

Fostering Requirements:

Location: Applicants must live within a one-hour drive of Hamilton and have access to a vehicle for transporting the foster animal to and from designated veterinary clinics.
Current Pets: All pets in the foster home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.
Commitment: Fosters should be prepared to care for the animal until adoption. The duration may vary from a few weeks to several months or even longer.

Hello, wonderful people! My name is Milkshake, and I'm eagerly waiting for my forever home. I started my journey as a stray, but the kind folks at Mohawk Animal Clinic have been taking great care of me. Now, it's time for me to find a loving family to call my own.

I'm a 10-month-old Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) kitty, spayed and fully vaccinated. I'm known for my social nature and love for human companionship. Whether it's playtime or cuddle time, count me in!

NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR PETS TRAVELING TO THE USA

Effective August 1st, there will be new requirements to enter the USA with your dog.

As long as they have not visited any HIGH RISK RABIES* (*Canada is NOT HIGH RISK) countries in the last 6 months, all dogs must be:
-6 months of age or older
-microchipped and Rabies vaccinated. (The rabies vaccine must be given after they were microchipped)
- Forms completed by your veterinarian and endorsed by the CFIA, these forms are provided on the CDC website (CDC Dog Import Form).

IF YOU ARE UNSURE of any of the policies or practices, please refer to the CDC’s Frequently Asked Questions page, or you can Use the DogBot on the CDC’s website to determine what rules apply.

You can also contact the CFIA at (905) 572-2201 (Hamilton office) for more details.

Please note our staff are not experts in export, we appreciate your patience as we also learn the new regulations needed for your pet to travel to the USA.

5 week old Frenchtons puppies are looking for there forever home!

Meet Mookie & Louie!

Lou and Mookie are almost identical senior boys, brothers, best friends, and lifetime companions who are looking for a Forever Home as a pair. The boys are warm, friendly, loving and affectionate cats, without quite being lap cats. They have shared a home all of their lives and have now lost their home, their human best friend and are hoping that against all odds, there is another special someone out there for them!

Mookie has hyper-thyroid (yes, Hyper, not hypo) and requires daily medication, this medication is applied to his inner ear to avoid the difficulty of giving pills and a 1-year supply of this medication will be provided free of charge when they are adopted. They are both a bit overweight and require a low calorie diet to ensure they will not become diabetic.

They are both beautiful, loving, sweet and relaxed companions. Lou and Mookie promise a lot of purrs, some silly fun and games, and a whole lot of love to the kind family who has room in their home and heart to love them!

We have been seeing an increase in the number of dogs that are testing positive for tick-borne diseases as well as heartworm this year! 😢

Reports have shown the number of dogs who have tested positive in Ontario so far this year are quite high.
