Today a 4 year old cat was to be euthanized for a blockage. We agreed to take him in & he was instantly rushed into life saving surgery with Dr.B.

His life saving surgery was a success! He will remain in hospital for a few days to be monitored as he has a Urinary catheter in, then it will be removed at some point to monitor him peeing on his own.

We will need a foster home for Tommy for when he’s ready to come out of hospital. He’s 4 years old, British short hair, male, neutered, lived with another cat. He loves belly rubs and ear scratches. We don’t know much more. All supplies and special diet food will be provided by us.

🚨 We urgently need your help for Zuko 🚨

As you know Zuko came to us a year ago in the worse abuse condition from being shot with a BB gun numerous times, beer bottle glass smashed and broken all in his face that we had to remove, withdrawing from drugs which we are unsure if he got into them or was given them.

When Zuko had a MRI last year we discovered he has brain inflammation and old trauma for whatever his previous owners did to him. He had two seizures upon intake which the doctors felt at the time was a result of the drug withdrawing.

Zuko has been recovering this whole year without any issues except some food changes as his body doesn’t absorb nutrient’s as well and his weight fluctuates.

Few days ago he had a seizure which we contacted Dr.B right away. We were monitoring and then Zuko had two more back to back 😞

There is a chance he could have epilepsy however with the brain trauma he has we need to get another MRI to see if there is any changes in his brain over this past year. The neurologist who took his first MRI said that if scar tissue forms it can cause issues and changes in the brain which can change his quality of life or behaviours.

I have been personally fostering this boy and took him after the devastating loss of Harmony. He is beyond special not only to this rescue but to me personally. and I promised to give him the best life possible as his past no dog should ever go through.

His last MRI was $5800 and we need to fundraise that again. We just had Electra 8k in emergency so this is a lot at once. We really need help to fundraise this so no steps are missed to give Zuko the best quality of life possible.

We really need help to cover this huge expense to help Zuko and we can’t do this alone.
