I know it’s been a while… but I’m staying busy learning on horse anatomy and working on becoming a Masterson practitioner (equine bodywork) 🐎
But that doesn’t mean I forget and don’t use Essential oils 😉
Yesterday I found what appears to be ventral edema ( bumps on the abdomen of my horse. ) Of course these things always happen on a holiday weekend so I researched the potential cause and came to the conclusion that it wasn’t an emergency, he still had a good appetite, his vital signs were normal and he wasn’t reactive to the touch so I figured I would treat naturally and reevaluate the need of a vet visit after a couple of days.
I went with my favorite mixture of all times : Lavender and Copaïba💜 diluted in a carrier oil (fractionate coconut oil). 👀 They are amazing for swelling, inflammation and copaïba is like a natural antibiotic !
➡️ Well in 24 hrs of topical application of this mixture and internal drops of copaïba on treats, the swelling is almost all gone, I’m amazed! I didn’t expect such a good and fast result!
1-I just saved a Vet bill;
2-I treated naturally my horse which is so much better than antibiotic for his system;
3-I gain confidence as a horse owner;
4-This mixture only cost me $17 ( taxes included) and I still have lots of essential oils in my bottles for further use!
Tomorrow I will alternate the topical application of the essential oils in addition to give Green Clay internally in his feed. In my first aid equine course I discovered this other natural way to cure the inflammation and to help is metabolism get back in shape 🫶
What would I not do for my babies 🐎🐎🐕🐇
( picture of a Ventral Edema from online since it’s hard to take a picture under his belly and with his long winter hair.. can’t really see well)
