Walk and train this Saturday at Keshet Kennels. Details to follow shortly.

No flexi leashes
No face to face dog meetings

Hi Team! I'm Sue! I am a professional dog walker/apprentice dog trainer and I recently joined Cindy to help build the off leash group walks program! I gave been walking a pack for 4 plus years and have learned so much about pack behaviour as well as body language. My current pack are a well oiled machine who know my expectations on walk as well we work on manners, recall and social aspect of being part of a pack. I am always learning and love learning all I can about dogs. I own 3 daschunds and a cockapoo. I look forward to meeting you at events or walks!

Many dogs experience a "Honeymoon Period" when coming into a new home or environment.

Look at it as if you were dropped off in a foreign country, where you do not speak the language or even starting a new job.It would make sense that it might take a few days, weeks or even months to adjust to the new environment.

📍This period can last anywhere from a three weeks to several months or longer, especially with fearful dogs.

📍Give your dog time to decompress and take it all in slowly.

📍Allow them the time to explore your home, supervised of course, get to know you and their surroundings with plenty of walks around the neighborhood and rest time in their crate.

📍Take this time to build a relationship and trust with your new dog.

📍The biggest mistake people make during this period is to give their dog too much too soon, such as too much touching, talking, and affection.

📍Please do not take them on the subway, road trips, or to meet your family and friends right away.

📍When the honeymoon is over, their behavior can get better or worse.
