Hand-crafted dog treats that are all-natural, locally sourced, and made with human-grade ingredients Our story is simple. It all started with our love for dogs.

After sprouting our early roots in Kamloops, British Columbia we left our home and headed to BC’s West Coast. It was here we began to pursue our passion by starting up House of Dog Boarding, a busy kennel-free home-based boarding service focussed on making sure our clients’ furry friends were loved while away from their own families. We cared for our clients’ dogs as our own family members. At the

same time, we were deeply immersed in the canine rescue world. We spent countless hours doing what we love… volunteering on the board for “A Voice4paws Canine Rescue Society”, a Vancouver-based not-for-profit all breed, no kill rescue organization with foster homes located throughout BC’s lower mainland. It was during this time that we rescued, fostered and adopted many dogs of our own, including our own pack of fur-babies - Koda, Bear, Bani and Hank. In addition to boarding, fostering and adopting our own dogs, we coached canines and their human companion(s), whether they were a boarding client or a rescue dog acclimatizing to a strange new life. Today, we are thrilled to be back in Kamloops expanding on our love for dogs and building our line-up of healthy doggie treats. To support the well-being of both dogs and our local community, we’ve launched a number of therapeutic doggie treats with all natural ingredients sourced directly from farms in the Kamloops area. Our nutritious ‘farm-to-pet’ treats originate from the Kamloops area, known for its expansive ranches, grasslands and pastures. We will always support our local farmers before sourcing raw ingredients elsewhere. We work with farms and suppliers that share our values - those with humane and regenerative practices. Our ingredients are primarily organic, and all of our meat is human-grade.

Hello all our dog loving friends.

With a heavy heart we have put our Bakery on hold as we take time for our family. Family remains our foundation and strength and this will always be the heart and soul of House of Dog.

Thank you for all the love and support on this amazing journey. We have gained many new skills, knowledge and continue to cook up delights for our pack. A no brainer when it comes to their health and well-being :)

Yikes that was a scary storm! Koda and Hank suffer from noise phobia and this years’ thunder storms have them on edge constantly :( this is our checklist … what is yours?
✅ Crate
✅ Blankets that block the sight of lightening
✅ Ambient noise to help block the thunder
✅ turn fans on high
✅ Ensure someone is home for comfort
✅ Calming homeopathic remedies
✅ If you have warning prior to storm dose them with endorphins and bring on the dopamine! Play a fun physical game of tug, go for a run, play fetch
✅ Check in with YOUR energy! Calm energy helps to reinforce a feeling security.

Recently, we lost a special soul close to our hearts. Our bakery has been our anchor, bringing us comfort over the past few months as we navigate grief. The other morning I stumbled upon these flowers. The violets represent loved ones who have crossed, the yellow daisy represents those who joined them recently. We hope these flowers bring you as much happiness and comfort as they have given to us ☺️🌸
