Overdue time for a feel good update on our BOY ROY
“Mr. Roysenberry has been living the dream. He has a dog park gang. He hikes off leash twice a week. He has also made friends with the kids I nanny for, and loves when they hood the leash. He walks slow and beside them. We went to the vet a couple weeks ago for a checkup, and she said he is aging in reverse. We are truly bonded now, and we are everything to each other. He has two new kitties as friends at my bf’s house. Thank you again. He is everything to me”
If you will remember Roy was going to be euthanized because his family was downsizing and couldn’t take him with them. The vet clinic reached out as they didn’t want to have to euthanize a dog in good health and really pretty good behaviors. Thankful to this community a foster stepped up and saved his life and then we were able to find him a wonderful loving home for his to love out his retirement but as we see he’s aging backwards and sure we played a role but it would have been possible without the shares, the foster and people giving rescues a chance.
It’s a sad world out there for dogs and rehoming right now so I am happy to share this FEEL GOOD MOMENT ❤️❤️❤️
Here is a video of Skye interacting well with other dogs while controlled, seems like this girl just needs to learn some confidence and some obedience to gain trust to her owner. If you can please help save Skye from euthanasia we will be there to support you. What a sweet girl she does not deserve to be failed
Sweet Onyx is in for training with Polite Paws she’s learning she doesn’t need to lunge at people or dogs. Her owner originally reached out over an altercation that happened in the elevator in their building. Onyx went through the For The Love of Jack program which was formed as a way to honor the life of Laura’s fur baby Jackie Chan and a way for her to give back to the community. This alongside an investment of her owner they are well on their way to success! Go Onyx Go!We are so grateful for this program which helps us remove a financial barrier to owners and their beloved babies! This helps to keep more dogs at home where they belong, living their best dog lives! To learn more please head over to our website!

We love getting updates! Here are some fun times of Miss Penny and her loving home. We love to see happy endings like this. We know rescues can be a lot of work, there are good days and not as good days, but consistency and love always pays off! Happy to see you having the life you deserve, Miss Penny!
Penny came to us from a home that could not provide her with the stimulation, training or exercise she needed. They were going through some personal matters and if you all will remember she's the dog we apparently stole, but then when we offered to return the dog her owner no longer wanted her back because she got a new one. Rescue work is not glamorous, but these dogs are so deserving!
A year in the life of Tater. His new Family has put in so much work and given so much love and he is just thriving ❤️
Tater came to us Jan 1st 2022 when he was surrendered to us he was super insecure and his previous family had gone through so many changes with additions of babies, changes in stability and he was not getting the structure he needed to thrive. He was all neurotic Aussie. We were so happy when he found the perfect family and we love watching his adventures from camping, riding the ferry, chasing the hose, paddle boarding and playing with his sister ❤️
Thank you for giving a rescue a chance they can be work but they are worth it ❤️

Little update on our sweet boy Roy. Sending out official adoption papers today!
If you remember a few months ago we received a call from a veterinary clinic in town as Roy was scheduled to be euthanized but the team did not feel comfortable as there was nothing wrong with Roy, just him family was downsizing and could not longer have him. Now before we judge his previous owners we need to ask why there isn’t help for people that face this situation, why there isn’t local resources to help this family find a new home, why we aren’t working on abolishing restrictions put on housing and pets. Ask yourself why there are two very big resources in town that collect a lot of money and one is run by the regional district and are supposed to be here to help dogs but yet a dog almost died and a community full of volunteers and dog lovers saved him.
We are so happy for you Roy! Enjoy your new life, with your amazing momma who already loves you much ❤️❤️ #teamroy
