Who’s Behind Lead Etiquette Co.? 🐾✨

Hi, I’m Rachel — a Will Atherton Accredited Dog Trainer & Behaviour Modification Specialist (est. 2023) with a journey that’s been anything but ordinary.

I started in the dog world in 2017, launched my first business in 2020, and learned more than I ever imagined (including from my mistakes). Then, life threw me curveballs — Multiple Sclerosis, breast cancer, amputation, than chemo — all while caring for my two high-energy dogs. Rehoming wasn’t an option, because I’m a pet owner first and a trainer second. I learned with mental stimulation your dog can still be satisfied without a walk. It’s about learning the tools to satisfy them.

Through it all, I discovered my true passion: training humans first so they can be the best version of themselves for their dogs. Because if I can do it, you can too. 🐶💪

Lead with love - remember quality time in mindfulness. Not just getting it done and do it for 1hr.

Spend mindful time with your dog. I was able to capture the moment in time today. Not just going through the motions of the day. Since having cancer, my priorities have changed and what I want to see in my life has changed. Remember live in the moment, cherish it, don’t just get it done. Pause. Listen. You’ll get more out of your day!

Please share! Someone I know who is looking to rehome their red Boston terrier he is an all around good boy! Umi, he Knows most things, crate trained, dog friendly, kid friendly, comes with everything! He is almost 2 years old, very sweet little man loves him they can’t stop playing, life has gotten busier, and he is a cuddle bug and likes attention of other humans, owners feel he is not getting enough of undevided attention, for cuddle time.

As I’m looking back for selected photos of Nick and Dominica. Thank you for your beautiful scarves, and I got a puzzle board! Puzzles are now my thing! Thank you also allowing Nick and I just talk about dogs for 3hrs! Time and time again.

Anyways lol on topic again. Dogs keep popping up that I’ve worked with over the years, your dog might be the way I relate to the human, but all of my human experience have been so positive I might have done it backwards, not the average way of learning, outside the box thinking, but it’s all about love, lead with love and it will all work out in the end.

I want to say thank you for all the help and kindness I have received during this time

I want to mention as I am focusing on my health and on my needs at this time, I am teaming up with Team Barking Nutz to help start his business, Nick started with me in the beginning and allowed me to teach him the rules of being the person your dog needs you to be, Bane was a very human reactive dog due to little socialization 0-6months old as during the hardest time in Covid! I also have 2 other clients who are interested in helping me, if you are interested in dog training consults (I am still doing consults, depends on my treatments most will be on the phone)
