Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of domestic animals.

We are a 100% volunteer run, foster-based domestic animal rescue located in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. What We Do

* Rescue abandoned, abused, or stray domestic animals in the Kimberley/Cranbrook area.

*Provide temporary foster homes, rehoming services, and/or palliative foster care for pets in the Kimberley/Cranbrook region whose owners, due to age, illness, or changing family

circumstances, are no longer able to care for them.

*Carry out trap, neuter, release (TNR) practices to address the feral cat population in the Kimberley/Cranbrook area.

*Provide food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, additional veterinary expenses and other supports for all animals in our care.

*Ensure excellent matches between pets and adoptive families – and thereby, a high adoption success rate – through careful animal behavioural assessments, veterinary health checks, and a rigorous adoption screening process.

*Provide resources and education about responsible pet ownership to residents of Kimberley and Cranbrook to help reduce the need for animal rescue and rehoming services in the future.

*Assist communities and their pets during crises, natural disasters, and other emergencies. What We DON'T Do

* Rescue animals from other areas of the province, country, or the world, unless there are extenuating circumstances. There are so many animals in need here, we are dedicated to using local resources for helping local animals.

* Assist with veterinary and other costs for privately owned pets. Our resources are limited and must be allocated to those animals in our care.

We have a 1 1/2 year old male feral cat who’s in need of a great home, with a warm place inside to stay safe at night, and fresh food and water. He’s neutered and up to date on shots. He’s ready to find a cozy spot in a barn, shop, warehouse, or any other secure outdoor structure where he can live comfortably.

He was found outside and definitely seems to want to be outside and kept wild, living an independent life.

None of our currently planned events seem like a fit? Share your own ideas. Can you teach people to crochet adorable cats and dogs and want to help the support the rescue, reach out! Is painting your thing? Sip and Paint an adoptable pet is sure to be a smash. Are you a handy person just looking for a project? We have more than a few opportunities for you to choose from.

The opportunities are endless - but don't let that overwhelm you. One and done - no pressure - just appreciation.

❤️ A Story of a Man & his Best Friend ❤️

This Valentine's Day, we're sharing a heartwarming story about the bond between a man and his beloved dog, Buddy. At 17 years old, Buddy is both deaf and blind, but his heart is full of love. When his owner had to move into assisted living and couldn't bring Buddy along, our team at M2BL Pet Rescue stepped in to help.

We found Buddy a wonderful palliative foster family who has given him a safe and caring home for his remaining years. But the love doesn’t end there—Buddy has been able to visit his owner, bringing joy not only to them but to the staff and his foster family as well. The photos in this post capture their beautiful reunion. ❤️

Pony is still looking for her forever home!

Approx Date of Birth: 2021

Female Great Dane

Neutered/Spayed: no

Pony is a sweet canine companion seeking a new place to call home. She is snuggly and easy going, but also playful. She is very loving, she loves to lean on you and then she slowly slides to the floor wanting belly rubs. She is food motivated and doesn’t bark often. With her kind nature, Pony will brighten up any household.

🏡 Ideal Home:

Pony is good with kids, and was previously living with other dogs, cats, and chickens. The current owner is unsure how she does around new dogs, though. She seems playful towards them. She is an indoor dog. She needs someone who can take the time to teach her some leash manners, and have patience teaching her to go for walks. She needs the exercise, but the current owner isn’t able to walk her due to a physical limitation. She is also working on gaining weight right now. Note: she is not yet spayed. She is 3 years old, and ready for a healthier and happier future.

Evie is an absolute sweetheart. She loves all people, is well trained and eager to please. She is extremely athletic, but is also content to nap on the couch all day. She has dog friends that she has known and been properly introduced to, but she is reactive to strange dogs. She has a very high prey drive, and due to this and her reactivity, it is recommended that she be the only pet in the house.

Looking for a loyal, loving, and well-trained companion? Evie might be your perfect match!

✔️ People-Loving Sweetheart – Evie adores people and thrives in a home without young children. While she’s great with handling (nail trims? No problem!), baths aren’t her favorite.
✔️ Leash Pro & Obedience Star – She walks beautifully on a leash, passes cars and people with ease, and has top-notch obedience, recall, and training. She’s muzzle-trained, e-collar trained, and eager to please—she’d be incredible at dog sports!
✔️ Best as a Solo Pet – While she has a few long-time dog friends, she’s reactive to unfamiliar dogs and can be unpredictable in the home. She needs an experienced owner to help her navigate her dog reactivity.
✔️ Athletic & Chill – Whether it’s running, chasing, swimming, or jumping, she’s always up for an adventure! But once inside, she’s the ultimate couch potato, happy to lounge with you all day (rainy days? No problem, she's happy to be at home with you)
✔️ Crate Trained & House Ready – She loves her crate but also does fine when left out. She has worked through separation anxiety and has never been destructive.
✔️ Managing Anxiety – She’s on fluoxetine & gabapentin for anxiety and the current owner has pet insurance to keep her covered.
✔️ Car Rides? TBD! 🚗 – She gets a little whiny in the car—whether it’s excitement, anxiety, or both, she’s still figuring it out!

🏡 Ideal Home:

Evie is best in a home without young kids (older kids likely okay), cats, or other dogs. She is an indoor dog, spayed, 2 years old, and ready for a healthier and happier future!

Evie needs a dedicated, experienced home where she can continue to thrive. If you’re looking for a well-trained, affectionate, and adventurous best friend, she could be the one for you! She currently lives in the Kimberley, but her owner is happy to drive to meet the right family for her.

‌Abby is a lovable, loyal, calm family dog who has been soaking up her days on our mini-homestead. She lives outside full time on the acreage, and is our guard dog for our chickens, ducks and kittens. She only barks at night when it is urgent, or an intruder has come in, otherwise she is not a very barky dog. She can be protective of her territory, for allowing other dogs in, however she is very social and once she knows a dog she absolutely loves to play.
She is friendly to all people and children, and “her" animals. She will chase all other intruders (squirrels, neighbour's cats) off the property but rarely barks at people. She needs to have a large space to live on, and would be a great addition to any farm/acreage.

Abby’s vaccines, along with her spay surgery, rabies vaccine and microchip will be covered by M2BL.

He needs someone who can give him the 3 essentials: physical activity, mental activity, and structure. With the right humans in his life, the sky would be the limit! Gus needs some extra attention to help with training yet, especially on a leash. With the right commitment and attention, he would be a wonderful companion.

🏡 Ideal Home:

Gus is good with adults and kids, although he likes to play rough sometimes when he’s excited. He would do best in a house without cats. He is about 2.5 years old, neutered, and ready for a healthier future!

We are looking for some Christmas Elves! Our annual Holiday Bake Sale is scheduled for December 14 - but we need your help to make it a reality. Phoebe has had quite the summer! ☀️⛱️⛰️ Lake swims, 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, ℎ𝑖𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔, p͟l͟a͟y͟i͟n͟g͟ w͟i͟t͟h͟ d͟o͟g͟g͟y͟ f͟r͟i͟e͟n͟d͟s͟,͟ and now she's on vacation at Kootenay Canine Boarding! 🌟 We’re so grateful to the incredible team at Kootenay Canine Adventures for generously hosting Phoebe during her stay. 🐾 Your kindness and support mean the world to us and to sweet Phoebe as she enjoys her vacation with you. ❤️ In her first foster home, we learned so much about Phoebe. We are also so g͟r͟a͟t͟e͟f͟u͟l for foster homes who are ready and willing to open their hearts and homes to a dog they don't know.
