Closing out our first year hosting our own schooling series we’d like to thank all the riders, coaches, parents, friends, and family who showed up to support our Kingston equestrian community.

Hopefully our schooling series will become a pillar for the local equestrian population!

Skye is being offered for an in barn part-lease. Skye is a 14.3” hh Appaloosa mare. She goes walk, trot, canter with some lateral movements and has been started over fences. Due to physical restrictions, her jumping is kept to 2’3 or lower. Skye can be ‘pushy’ on the ground, so we are looking for someone who is able to appropriately respond to these behaviours. Weekly lessons required.

Due to the lack of interest in our last dressage schooling show we will not be hosting another show this season.

We hope to be inviting you all back to the farm for some clinics this winter! Stay tuned for more information!

Our first dressage schooling show this Sunday will be more clinic based. Hopefully creating a more welcoming atmosphere!

Riders will ride through their test as if it was a competition, our judge Alex Morgan will make comments on the ride as if in a competition.

Then rider & judge will work through parts of the test together.

Thank you to everyone that came out today to support the first McBrien Hunter/Jumper schooling Series. We got off to a late start this year however with a great team we pulled it all together. I can’t thank my wonderful barn family enough for all their hard work that went into today’s show. I also want to thank the sponsors J Walker Masonry, Sebastian Renovations, Dan Mallett Farrier Services, HP Powersports and Giangrosso Contracting Inc. (We are looking for additional sponsor if anyone is willing to support this local show series) It was long hours to say the least. From the organizing, the jump painting, the set up and the grounds maintenance and the clean up and everything else in between. One more shoutout to the best barn family ever. I hope everyone enjoyed the show and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next show. Next Hunter/Jumper show August 31 and we are going to be hosting 2 dressage shows as well one in July and the second one in September dates for dressage show coming soon. Thanks again everyone.

Currently leased! Poppins is being offered for an in barn full or part lease. Poppins is a 15.1hh thoroughbred mare. We’re looking for a quiet intermediate/advanced rider. Poppins goes consistently at the walk, trot, and canter. With some lateral movements. She is a forward ride. Currently schooling lower courses due to her fitness level, but with time and muscle could step into the ring at a 1.10M with ease. Lovely personality, very willing horse with tons of heart. Has show experience on the silver circuit in the .90 and 1M jumpers. Weekly lessons with an approved coach is required. Contact for further information or to set up some trial rides!

Fully Leased! No longer available! Benny is being offered for an in barn part-lease. He is a 6 year old, 16.hh DHH gelding. He is currently being offered as a green lease. Benny goes consistently at the walk & trot & is working on refining his canter. He has been lightly started over fences. Benny’s ideal leaser is an intermediate rider who is patient & willing to take regular lessons. Having come from a less than ideal situation, Benny can be mistrustful & slightly reactive when he does not feel confident. His ideal leaser will understand how to approach this without a punitive approach. He is, however, very in your pocket and willing to learn! Located Kingston, Ontario

Available for lease Cher is a novice-friendly pony mare being offered for an in barn part-lease. She has taken riders from leadline, to short stirrups, to 2’3 hunters over the years. She is a well-educated & quiet ride who can take up the leg of a taller rider. She hacks out alone or in a group without a problem. Weekly lessons required. Located Kingston, Ontario
