Poppy was trying to make the naughty list this year by eating something she shouldn’t ! If you have a strong stomach, swipe and guess what she ate (yes, we made her vomit to bring it back up to avoid any issues!). Good news is, she vomited it up and is back on Santa’s good girl list !

October is RVT month! RVTs (Registered Veterinary Technician) are formally educated in a number of areas within veterinary medicine. From anesthesia to dentistry; lab animal research to industry sales; equine to avian and exotics; nutrition to radiology; large animal to shelter medicine, RVTs bring forward a diverse background to share alongside veterinarians and other team members, providing animals with the highest quality of healthcare. They are licensed professionals who have completed a challenging licensing exam (VTNE) and met the requirements to register as an RVT in their province.

With summer ending, bugs and other critters are still finding ways to affect our pets. Poor Rue had an allergic reaction (we usually never find the culprit!) and came to visit to bring the swelling down!

We are here for all of your pet needs this long weekend ! We work on a triage system similar to that of a human hospital where the most emergent cases are seen first. This means at times we can have extended wait times for stable patients. We appreciate everyone’s patience during these busy times so that our staff can take care of all of our patients and provide excellent, quality care to each and every one of them as we always do! ❤️🐾

Cricket was in to be treated for an allergic reaction. Typically we see swelling of the face (eyes, lips, cheeks) and hives on the body. Unfortunately, most often we cannot tell you what the reaction was from (but bug bites are highly suspicious! 🐜🕷️). Do you know what breed of dog Cricket is - the breed is not very common to see!
