We will be offering FREE Intro sessions at the Grand Opening today!

Join us for the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Ponoka off-leash dog park.

The event will be held on Wednesday, June 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the new dog park, which is located at 5609 49 Street (on the east side of 49 Street, south of 57 Avenue) across from the Town of Ponoka's Operations Department.

Get ready for an evening packed with fun for you and your pets!

The grand opening celebration will include:
• Pet-friendly vendors;
• Giveaways; and
• Treats for your pets.

The new off-leash dog park features:
• Agility equipment for dogs;
• Sheltered seating areas with benches;
• Fencing around the perimeter of the park with access to the Battle River;
• A gravel walking trail that makes a loop around the park;
• Fenced small dog area;
• Waste receptacles;
• Double-gated entrances;
• Waste bag stations to pick up after your pet;
• A paved parking lot with overflow parking available at the north trailhead of the Battle River Valley walking trail system located just north of the new park on 49 Street; and
• A walking trail extension that connects the new dog park with the north trailhead of the Battle River Valley trail system.

It’s POURING out there! Is your pup going stir crazy today? We will be in Blackfalds at Curious Tails pet supplies for a short pop up from 1:00-2:15. Mini sessions only $20. No appointments necessary.

Looks like it’s going to be wet the next few days! Let us come to your doorstep and exercise your dogs in our climate controlled mobile dog gym. You can stay dry while your pups get the exercise and enrichment they need.

Good luck to all the competitors this weekend! If you are curious about Barn Hunt, take a drive out to Prairie Dog Sports Inc. and watch some of these amazing dogs and their hunting skills.

The dogs are back in the barn for more Barn Hunt action this Friday through Sunday!

Spectators are welcome, but please leave your pets home. Only registered competitors may have dogs on site. Trials runs approx. 9-4 daily.

SAVE the DATE because THIS Saturday (April 20) we will be at from 11-3pm with the CUTEST litter!

These sweet babes have been raised in a family home since birth and have the most stunning markings!

They are a true “mix of mixes” but do anticipate that they will be larger breed dogs when grown.

Some info about events:
🖤ALL adults from the home must be present - we want to make sure you all connect with your fur baby.
🖤 Whoever’s name is on the application, must be present at the event to offically adopt the animal.
🖤Adoption fees are $550 for puppies.
🖤Please be respectful of the business and customers attending the premises.
🖤Rude or disrespectful behaviour towards staff, volunteers or other patrons of the event will not be tolerated.
🖤 All puppies are spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and time appropriate, dewormed, microchipped and health checked.
🖤 Want to streamline the process? Please fill out an application prior to the event! This way we can approve you beforehand making the meet go quicker and smoother for us and you!
