PARC Working on a veterinarian referral basis to provide mobile physical rehabilitation services for animals in Cornwall and the SD&G Counties.

We are dedicated to helping pets live a healthier longer life, returning them to function, sport or leisurely activities with the help of evidence based non-invasive therapies and treatments. Offering these services in the comfort of the patients homes provides familiarity to pets as well as convenience to pet parents.

Feel Good Friday; meet Tucker! 🐾

Tucker is a very handsome, 13 year old Newfie Lab mix that has had both of his knees surgically repaired several years ago. His mama sought out rehab to see if it can help support him through his final years as he navigates osteoarthritis 🤍

It’s never too late to alleviate some pain or discomfort and improve or maintain mobility. Tucker may be past his prime but he is living the good life, surrounded by a family who loves him dearly. What more can a guy ask for?

Little miss Aurora, weaving her way through her hydrotherapy warm up 💪 Although Aurora makes this exercise look easy, weave poles take a lot of coordination, core strength and focus. Weave poles are typically introduced after a solid foundational program has been completed. Good work, rockstar 🌟

🌿 Tarzan 🌿 After being hit by a car, dislocating a hip and undergoing an FHO procedure, Tarzan was hesitant to use his surgical limb. Can you really blame the guy? ❤️‍🩹 PARC’s mission: reduce discomfort, increase range of motion and encourage controlled limb loading for a full return to strength and function 💪 He is now on his road to recovery 🙌

Yesterday’s bath and blow dry was a hit! 🤩 All pups seemed to have enjoyed their laid back spa experience 🙌 Nail trims while snuffling for snacks, peanut butter in the shower and cuddles for the blow dry 🐾 Thank you to my dear friend Kirsty L Hewitt for helping out 🤍 Next scheduled date is March 31st 🐣🐰 call or message me to book your pup in!

Bring your sister to rehab day, and show her you’re a rockstar ⭐️ Kenya and Kali 🐾

Buddy has a torn cruciate ligament on the right hind limb. Given his age and other medical issues his owners opted for a conservative management trial before exploring the surgical route 🚨 When a dog isn’t using a limb, for whatever reason, muscle loss or atrophy is always a concern. Muscle loss can lead to bone density loss, which can lead to many other possible issues 🤕 At this depth, the buoyancy of the water takes 50-60% of Buddy’s weight off of him; allowing him to exercise in a safe and controlled environment, taking pressure off of the knee joint and strengthening the limb as his muscles have to work harder to push through the resistance of the water with every step 💦💪 Even though they often seem unphased hopping along on three legs, there is almost always a level of pain or discomfort. Pain should always be addressed first! Talk to your veterinarian or rehab practitioner to get your pet on the best path to health 🙂
