Sadie got hauled to two different farms that she’s never been to before, and acted like she grew up there. Wouldn’t this grey mare look nice in your pasture…?
Leroy and I had a great session using a combination of reward and relief based training to address some mental/physical bracing. He’s a super smart dude. I use R+ sparingly but I found it very beneficial to him as it encouraged more willing engagement.
How often do you check the fluidity of your ground work?
RCR Southern Cat, 3 y/o cutting horse
Casual stroll for Hannah’s 2nd ride.
Nina, 2 year old filly, got ground driven for the first time and she really enjoyed it. Lots of happy releases, stretching down, carrying herself more balanced. Very easy filly to train and work with.
I forget how many rides now, maybe 8? Here’s our warm up of flexing while moving the hips. Good little 2 year old molly mule going walk, trot, lope and down the road now.
Ground driving this 3 y/o paint/warmblood filly for her first time was not for the faint of heart 🤪 but very happy with our session. Hannah’s going to have a big focus on bending and flexing as we work through some mental & physical tension… which we do through conditioning and movement pattern training as we prep to start her under saddle.
Ignore her dirty legs, she gets a good wash after our sessions lol 🐷
Crosshairs Open Carry
Very proud of my little mule on her third ride. I’ll tell y’all somethin… raising a mule and training a horse are two different things.
